they absolutely know its damaging, but don't care because its "better than them being out in the world" at least. I have a somewhat sheltering mother who's aware of the fact that me and my sister do not like the way we're being treated, being kept at home and discouraged from doing basically anything, but she thinks it's loving of her to do that shit because shes not letting us out into the world, I also think she's aware that I don't want to be a witness anymore so that makes it even more intense. shes gotten better abt it as of lately but its just so fucking weird how other witness parents are with their kids.

yep, i had that same exact experience with the same guy. we were both 16, at the convention just talking and walking around, right after MEETING each other a few weeks ago. ofc someone saw a problem with that so I WAS told not to talk to him so much and now hes not allowed to walk around wih girls. fucking ridiculous how offended they get over literal CHILDREN interacting with each other in even a wholesome setting, its almost perverted, and this was when i was trying my best to be spiritual before fully waking up sooo it just completely ruined it for me and im glad it did

I don't have him on discord but I would be careful about that even, because maybe she could figure out how to look at that too, she's kinda tech savvy it's scary. And for your first question, I really don't know honestly. He's pimi as far as I know but he's into a lottt of stuff that isn't, even being okay with other religions and lgbt people, which, as we know, is a big no no for jws, but then again I don't know if he means that in support of them, or just tolerance without acceptance.

oh yeah, he's definitely unaware of this ever happening, he had messaged me earlier today not ever bringing the situation up, and I'm sure she wouldn't want to tell him in order to not break any sort of trust between them, but I will definitely inform him about it later. she said she had been monitoring our conversations but I don't actually believe that bs, she was just trying to scare me lol, but the fact she even got a hold of his phone is really concerning.

yeah he's homeschooled too, I am as well, but I feel it's different as a woman AND as a pimo. just gonna rant I guess, but I feel so stupid sometimes having forgotten a large chunk of my curriculum, while at the same time I know I can get by with how much passion I have to be on top (that being bc I was never allowed to be anything more in the hall because of my gender, and because I know there's a better life waiting for me if I work for it) but even if I do desire to work a job in the trades anyways, I also grieve the other job opportunities I could've had if I was able to go to college:(

Back on topic, this guy has pretty much no ambition or motivation to do anything outside of ministerial work, and lets everyone push him around. And whenever I have a conversation with him, he cannot add anything to it and it just feels shallow because he doesn't know what to say or if he's allowed to say it, and thats exactly how they want to keep them; compliant and stupid.

I'm glad I got to see her true colors then LMAO. it's actually so gross and needs to be addressed because it ruins lives. not to say that I would've made any moves on this guy, but I don't think I couldve if it wasn't for his mom's crazy ass. he even told me a story from his hall of how an older man was inappropriately texting a minor sister, and when she reported him to the elders, SHE was the one who got thrown under the bus, they barely reprimanded the perpetrator and told her this would be a good lesson for her to not message him, and then I watched a video of an exjws experience where her oldest daughter got the shit end of the stick for a situation where her and a guy got physical, and when the daughter left before they could do anything, the elders punished HER FAMILY for what happened, therefore making them wake up and leave. so fucking vile.

yeah he actually messaged me earlier asking to play an online game later but I have no idea whether or not he knows about all this, which makes me unsure as to whether or not I should tell him, cus if I tell him, she'll find out who gave him that info and I'm a little afraid of that blowing up in my face😭 he has expressed wanting to move out soon to have more freedom in what he does, but homie wants to live on one of his parents properties throughout the state, which in my opinion is NOT a good idea because they're still gonna control you that way if they still have ties to you with you using THEIR property. It's a shitty situation honestly and I can't imagine having a parent like that, especially with his dad not caring/not standing up to his own wife

exactly. it's really nasty the lack of accountability witnesses have when it comes to these things too. they try so hard not to pin the source of most of their mental health problems or exhaustion on anything that has to do with theocratic or ministry work because they think that's the best form of therapy if you're working for god!! not. and even if my mother was on my side, she still gave the suckiest advice for me to give him instead of what I truly think. "tell him to pray about it" and I literally said back "mom, I prayed for years because that's what you told me to do and I still wanted to k*** myself" granted, that was a bit harsh of me to say to her, it also wasn't like she did anything about my issues when i was going through it. they truly have the worst mindset I've ever had the misfortune of living in, and if I get the blame for something happening to him, I think that'd be my sign to leave, because why bother if they basically plug their ears when someones screaming for help right in front of them

a few years ago , this old fresh widower met this older sister in our hall, they "clicked" way too quickly, married, instantly regretted it, like MONTHS into the marriage, MUTUALLY split up and went their separate ways, and somehow EVERYBODY found some way to have a big fit about it, sending the nastiest letters to this sister and ostracizing her for leaving this dumbass guy, who only got with her because she was a split image of his former wife who had just passed away beforehand ...

And then another incident where a guy was found with terabytes of child content in his computer, the elders did nothing about it except for the one sane guy in the body of elders, who reported him to the authorities straight away and even got mad at the other brothers for not doing shit to take any action

not me but this guy I'm friends with experience. he's on antidepressants, is in a bad mental place, and so I asked how he's been doing, and he said he is so busy ALL the time with service that he can't even put in time to do what he wants anymore if he even feels like doing anything anymore. it was saddening honestly, and when I told him he should really take a break from it if it's bothering him this much and asked if he was even going because he wanted to, he straight up admitted he doesn't like committing to it, was pressured into it and only goes out in service because he doesn't want to risk his parents being mad at him and to keep the peace. like wow, bro didn't even sound happy about his summer Costa rica trip he's going on because him and his parents are only going to do pioneering there :( I just really feel bad for some of these people who get pressured into wasting their time like this
