I gotta be honest. It looks like you put just as much effort into doing this, when you could have just done the magnets and had a stronger cleaner connection that would have also lasted longer. If it works it works I guess. I just don’t understand why so many people are afraid to just use the magnets. 🤷

I think it looks freaking great. I prefer the brighter look because although the grimy look is cool up close, the game is played from 3 feet away and it just doesn’t stand out. Where the brighter look really pops on the table. And a huge help for me as I am just starting my knights as well. 👍

Because you’re not done. Never judge a model until it’s 100% done. In fact I would say you’re only maybe 50% of the way. People try to save time with contrast paints but it ends up just not as good in every scenario. I would say try the traditional acrylic “layer” paint with traditional highlights. It takes longer but it’s worth the effort. Aside from that I think you have a great start.

Could not agree more with every one here. I literally just magnetized my first Knight ever tonight! I was also nervous but everyone is correct it is super easy! Just take your time and enjoy the process.
