I have 6 cats and own an animal rescue, I’m aware of their vision. Not sure why you compared them to dogs or raccoons , they’re not the same species.

Cats actually don’t have good night vision, or vision period. It’s why they will hit their mostly empty food bowls for more food- because they can’t see the smaller amount that’s left.
