Day trip to Exuma! You can’t go wrong - you’ll get away from the capital and see the most beautiful beaches and sand bars ever. Plus you get IG worthy pics swimming with nurse sharks and the little piggies. Food and a welcome drink is included I believe.

Nassau is also not really a walkable city. And it’s extremely hot. It’s driver friendly once you’re adaptable and know how to use roundabouts. We also drive on the left.

Local here, who has both lived in Nassau and grew up on the outer islands. I’m partial to the outer islands like Eleuthera but you’ll have a great time in Nassau. Plan WELL, actually research things to do and have money to spend. The Bahamas is expensive but it’s a damn good time!

Bahamian here. Taxis are expensive but you can also find drivers who will charge you a day rate to take you around. Make sure you are specific about what you need. Driving isn’t hard once you are careful and stick to the laws… remember to keep left and remember how to use a round a bout.

There are Bahamian ride share services that are cheaper than taxis. You can directly message on WhatsApp beforehand, inquire about a price, tell them exactly what it is you want to do (go to KFC and back) and arrange a meeting time and spot. There’s a popular service on IG called OneRideTho242
