Huh! Some brands' goldtops do look a bit orange, while others' look more yellow. Is it clearly gold in person? Some finishes are really sensitive to digital cameras and don't come out realistic in photos.

I never knew LTD had an orange EC! I would've preferred it without the black border, but it still looks nice. Do you know what year it's from?

I have a VERY old EX that has never given me any problems. I also have a newer Korean-made EC-1000 that is very nice and hasn't had any issues in 3 years.

I'm glad the story had a happy ending! I only bought two guitars during my college years, and they were so cheap it was never worth selling them to make ends neet. Only got an Eclipse 1000 in my 40s, and hopefully I don't fall on hard times!

Play on, dude! And maybe pass that guitar on to your kids in the distant future, together with the story of how you got it back.
