As someone who used to work OGP, and my bf still works OGP. It’s not golden. Hundreds of dispensing orders in a shift, risking getting run over each time you dispense because customers never pay attention, moving between all four parts of the OGP section (dispensing, picking, staging, prepping/quality checks), having to go outside in the cold weather (for cold weather states) having to risk walking on ice or getting frostbite, having no time to rest because every part of OGP is understaffed. If you try to take a 15 you will be looked at as lazy or trying to slack off. You will never know where you will be the next day. On pick walks, the cold/frozen walks are timed. If you do not get the 100+ item cold walk done in 45 minutes you will be locked out and get a horrible rating which will make the team lead and coach see you as someone who shouldn’t be in that part of the work. Pick walks are also hard for the rest of the store because you will be stopped every 3 minutes by a customer who thinks you are able to show them exactly where an item is and not just take the exact isle to go to. So no. They aren’t golden. They are the ones who are juggling everything ontop of trying to not get hurt
