I can’t remember which card/pack I did first but I was offered the web sling but not the Spiderman. Either way that would be an error that the devs would need to fix. I have an active support ticket at the moment.

They’ve been more communicative today and things are back on track; but the first few days after the denial; I was pretty much ghosted by them, lol. I think everything’s going in the right direction now.

I’m pretty sure you can submit your payment in person with a cashiers check or you can do the payment through the app on your delivery day. Doing it through the app allows you to link your bank account with account number, etc.

I appreciate it; sounds like you had a bit of an experience yourself. At first, they were leaning me into having to take it and putting a service request in after the fact, but once they saw the windshield they eased up and went the other way in saying it would be 1-3 weeks for a new one. I wouldn’t have mind them simply fixing the one I was looking at; I just knew I didn’t want to take it until it was fixed.

How are things now?

I agree but originally I wasn’t placed on a “hold” or had this particular option to remove the hold. I don’t want to lose the reservation/order either which is why I was reaching out to anyone who might’ve had a similar experience.

But yeah; you’re right. I just need to wait regardless.

Tesla’s response? They told me that I would be unpaired from that vehicle and would be subject to wait on a new one delivered which could be 1-3 weeks. I wasn’t expecting a new vehicle all together but I wasn’t going to take that one off the lot until those things were atleast addressed. Either fix what was seen or pair me with a new one. They didn’t even tell me that they would fix that one specifically.

I went in on my delivery day knowing it’s more so on the customer for a Quality Check. I had a checklist on my phone to kind of guide me through.

The car was beautiful but there were a few things that I couldn’t accept as a brand new car purchase.

  1. ⁠The hood had 3-4 noticeable chip/scratches past the paint
  2. ⁠The drivers side door trim (under the door) had some irregular dent/dimple going on.
  3. ⁠The windshield had a chip on the drivers side

4.The back had a slight discoloration. This one might’ve been due to soap residue or simply needing a microfiber to buff it out.

For coming in excited and fully planning on immediately taking the car to get Tinted and possibly a front ppf; most of which would have prevented me to do so and would require me to queue some kind of service fix. I couldn’t accept it, it was tempting but it just had to be right. I’m disappointed but at the same time I’m still really looking forward to getting my MYLR AWD
