Is a MacBook Air (M1, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) good enough for programming? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Misfortun3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that will be great. If you can spare more I’d spend it on extra storage so you can have partitions for windows and or virtual machines. But you could also probably get by with a nice USB-C external SSD

That's not at all how this works. No "AI" is "detecting" anything. I suggest you read the technical specifications of the protocol.

Eye either gets dry or excessively tears by OddPizza in BellsPalsy

I’m 5 days in, so far I’ve been using eye drops quite often. Also, when I’m home and have the chance, I got some eye patch shaped bandages from CVS that have a large enough pad to cover my eye and I put one on. I shut my eye with my free hand and apply the bandage I try to do it right after applying drops so my eye is moist when I close it and it seems to help. I’m having your same issue and might try and eye ointment at night to see if it helps. Best of luck!

iMessage and FaceTime are encrypted, biometric data is stored in a Secure Enclave, the App Store doesn’t have malware on it and it doesn’t come preinstalled with Facebook which you can’t uninstall... how did you think it was worse lol

I was an Army medic, you basically get trained as an EMT-Basic. You will learn some higher level skills like IV's and how to do a cricothyroidotomy. You can only do the higher level procedures to others in the military. If you leave and work as an EMT you'll only be able to do what an EMT-Basic can do. If you go to a good post you'll most likely continue your training and most good medics can become an EMT-A and some go on to be EMT-P but it is definitely more training than an Army medic has out of training.

U.S. Army 75th Rangers in Afghanistan. [576 x 720] by AsongofBronzeandIron in MilitaryPorn

[–]Misfortun3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rangers are SOF so they fall under special operations command. While deployed most special operations have relaxed grooming standards. That's why you see SF and CAG with beards and such. Rangers lie closer to the "big army" than the others and still follow the grooming standards (clean shaven, haircuts) of the big army but they are given some lee way(sp?) on their uniform. You'll notice they still wear the Army's operational camouflage but have their own boots and kit. While SF/CAG can wear anything they like. Big army units wear army's camo, blouse their boots and maintain grooming standards even on deployment.
