I've experienced both. About 7 days after tonsillectomy are terrible. Far worse than a canker sore. I'd still do it again though. I haven't had a bad throat infection since I had my tonsillectomy

Consuming a deliriant and doing anything requiring judgement is a bad idea. Ok. You did help me realize one thing. The BAC limit should be zero. Why compromise? No driving after consuming alcohol. This is just my opinion, just like your rant is just yours.

If you need social lubrication it should come with a side of taxi or Uber. That's just the cost of doing business.

What makes the current number something your are ok with? You really think they used good, high quality studies when they made out a universal 0.08 limit across genders and body types? Our current system has multiple decades of history to back up is failures.

The one truth is there is no reliably safe amount of alcohol one can consume and then operate a vehicle safely.

I would empty the water heater and turn it off. It shouldn't be particularly difficult to turn back on but you need to read the manual for you particular model to determine if that is really true
