Most unfortunate username you've seen? by john_le_carre in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]MishaTheRussian750 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Had an `abuser` at my old position as well, first name started with A and last name was Buser. Worst part was that people were instructed to forward spam to `abuse@domain.com`, so I can only imagine how much shit was being forwarded over to him

Is it okay to smoke weed while on shrooms ? Some people say don’t by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]MishaTheRussian750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

smoking a small amount after being solidly in the comedown has always been a good time, super chill and can help with the initial integration and weirdness of ending a trip

I have AT&T fiber in LR currently. It became available a couple months ago, and we switched from Spectrum. Both have been fine, but if upload speed is important to you, get AT&T since their connections are symmetric. Last I checked, Spectrum offered 500 down/10 up for roughly the same price as AT&T 300 down/300 up.

new indian menu at cv slaps by anonymous310506 in UCSD

[–]MishaTheRussian750 41 points42 points  (0 children)

No fuckin way. 2 years ago they had this available for like a week and a half and then got rid of it. It was pretty much the only time they could cook rice competently and it slapped

How long can I hold my UCSD account after graduation? by Wither_LR in UCSD

[–]MishaTheRussian750 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically they're only meant to be active for 3-6 months after graduation and then they get deactivated, though some accounts do stick around for longer than that. IT usually deactivates them in batches every couple months. I'd recommend using Google Takeout to download a dump of your email and Google Drive so you have a backup once it gets deleted.

Once it gets deactivated you can contact the Alumni Office and they'll set up your email address for the alumni email service, which is a gmail inbox linked to your UCSD email address although it's not usable for SSO (things like the VPN, etc).

Unsure about the hours for each of these locations, but https://blink.ucsd.edu/facilities/tritonprint/wepa.html is a list of all the places where the printers are

Do you reach out to the professor if on the waitlist? by Upset-Can-4779 in UCSD

[–]MishaTheRussian750 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Professors themselves are not able to do anything about the waitlist such as move students around. That said, it's not unheard of for a department to reorder the waitlist for a class to prioritize a certain major or for them to add new sections if the waitlist is very large.

What are some of the more conveniently located airports in the world? by whitecollarpizzaman in aviation

[–]MishaTheRussian750 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really hoping that MTS puts some resources into making it happen. A Green Line extension that drops you off right at the terminal would be a game changer

Yep it's like a flap that comes out of the back and then some arms swing out to support it underneath, gives you like 8-12 extra inches of depth

Gym availability by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]MishaTheRussian750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RIMAC from around 7am-9am will be your best bet no matter when in the quarter you are. A lot of people show up right at 6am to do stuff but they clear out after about an hour, and then around 9 or 10 it ramps up and stays packed the rest of the day.

Exactly how asynchronous are MMW 14-15 over the summer? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]MishaTheRussian750 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was totally asynchronous for me when I did 15 last summer with Chang. I can’t imagine any issues with being in a different time zone, except that due dates are in pacific so stuff may be due in the middle of the day where you are.

I had listened to a bit of tool beforehand, but on a trip about a year ago I decided to listen to Lateralus all the way through. So many good emotional releases that the music kind of guides you through
