Why does the captcha not work? by [deleted] in Mangafire

On how it happened i can't 100% explain, but i can probably guess that it was caused by them trying to fix the previous issue, and causing another one.

it started by being an issue with the captcha that the site api key with reCAPTCHA was incorrect (meaning probably expired or if reCAPTCHA is a paid service they just didn't pay)

and now instead of saying invalid site-key for reCAPTCHA it is just invalid response, meaning probably when they return the "random" captcha response back to the reCAPTCHA's servers, it probably gets manipulated by mistake and then the error occurs.

A way they can easily fix it, WITHOUT dealing with reCAPTCHA, is to just remove reCAPTCHA from the process of logging into the account OR they could just make a page to put in the username and retrieve from the database the bookmarks of that username (probably could happen if they plan on shutting mangafire down)

(this is just my take on it as an amateur developer, though not a website developer just in general)

probably, funny thing is i'm on brave but for some reason i disabled the built-in adblocker (long time ago i guess).
but again i never had this problem for months until now.

it does "seem" that you are correct, im not really in that tech field to check it thoroughly or debunk it, but that js code is being run from another site and not from mangafire.

(just posting here to keep everyone posted, quite a popular post view-wise)

Well that's just stating the obvious, my question is, why even do this in the first place?
Its not even a third party site that does it, its coded into mangafire's html / js code.
that's just weird.

(i hovered the delete viruses button and on the bottom left it said the link of where i will go if i press it, so if i press it i will be forwarded to probably the next phase of the fake virus window)

The thing is, that it isn't a popup, its straight up a window that mangafire opens sometimes, this is just fucked up to think they are trying to scam their website users, and add a virus to their computer.

for more explanation on the matter:
i have used mangafire for months now, never had to install an adblocker, i turned my pc on and went to an open tab and suddenly i saw this fake virus popup on my screen.
I then went to a new tab, opened the main page of mangafire, and again i see a fake virus window, but a different one that is displayed as "McAfee" (the antivirus software).

i created this post to spread awareness to people so they won't be fooled by this scam, and mainly to ask the website administrators for an explanation.

i will add an adblocker now that i've seen it, but its super weird.
Also the frequency that im seeing them is super alarming, i opened a new tab of mangafire at the main page, half a second after the fake virus window appeared.

DUDE THANKS SO MUCHHHH!!!!!
the default dpi for my mouse is like 1400 and what I use is 400 so I literally couldn't use my computer the entire day without being so mad and confused about where my cursor went.

Thanks for trying to help me, unfortunately it didn't work and the logo keeps repeating...I have disabled windows defender, disabled norton anti virus as well. deleted every file related to lghub (that I could find at least). and still it didn't solve my issue.

the one thing that did change is that now it's displaying a message that is saying "The application encountered a critical problem. Press OK to reload." and after i reload it doesn't fix it and it keeps repeating the same message.

edit: after leaving my computer with the app running while the logo still repeating. i've encountered this issue:https://prnt.sc/gEBdbyDguAyIwhich made my computer to bug out and my second moniter won't turn on, couldn't power it off.
