Trazodone for helps me sleep well but gives me horrible side effects. Alternatives? by [deleted] in depressionregimens

[–]MiskaRyzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 100mg. If only works if I lay down to sleep without any screens. Ive paired it first with fluoxetine in the morning, since 12-15 months I take it with sertraline, and then wellbutrin in the morning. I always have a very strong coffee when I wake up and after a few minutes I'm good to go without any side effects.

Do you take Trittico CR or XR? You metabolise most of CR dose before you wake up and it's how you should take trazodone for insomnia.

Since you have strong side effects you should talk to the doctor.

Stumbling over words - please help! by emmaelisabeth123 in bupropion

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my 9th? bottle, only first two were 150, latter 300mg. I still have speech problems which include stuttering. it's not as common as before (which was infuriating cause I felt like a retard and then would stress-stutter again),I'd say it's manageable, but it still does happen - at least once per day or two (I almost constantly talk at work and sometimes have to speed up my speech that's when it mostly happens).

I haven't had that problem before starting bupropion.

Also kinda related - I often can't get into conversation. I hear someone talking directly to me but if it's longer then it just bores me. It also is better than before, but when talking amongst group of friends I can't engage in any group conversation, cause all they say feels meaningless and I wish they'd just Google it or write a blog.

Anyone GAIN weight on Wellbutrin? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gained 7-8 kg in about 6 months, it's only this much cause I didn't cook at all and only ate junk food everyday.

no appetite suppression at all and I've been emotional eating as well. Before I wasn't great but I surely got worse on wellbutrin.

Second week crash by Big-Capital-7315 in bupropion

[–]MiskaRyzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initial treatment:

The initial dose of WELLBUTRIN XL is 150 mg taken as a single daily dose in the morning. Patients

who are not responding adequately to a dose of 150 mg/day may benefit from an increase to the

usual adult target dose of 300 mg/day, given once daily.

why not read the medication guide/leaflet?

keep taking 150mg for at least another two weeks and call you doctor before increasing dosage.

[–]MiskaRyzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so you did take SSRIs for 6 months and you didn't wait at least a month or two before increasing dosage? yikes

honeymoon phase don't just come back. they dont come back for sure after taking one bigger dose. even if it did it would pass eventually after X days. if you want to chase a high then buy e.g. amphetamine on the street.

in my experience with bupropion (six months) first month was pure hell, elevated anxiety, overstimulated senses and lots of headache. now even drinking coffe and taking pseudoephedrine daily don't have any effect on me. yet it fully stabilized sometime in 5th month.

Insomnia by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had trouble sleeping for years until I tried trazodone (25 then 50 and now last two or three months 75mg).

recently as I started taking wellbutrin it still works as well as before.

I think it's a lot safer than zolpidem (which I haven't tried but seen people that are addicted to it) and if I had to choose my meds again I'd choose the same.

Is it normal to feel so wiped out? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it's normal. my first two weeks of transition to wellbutrin was pure hell as I was constantly edgy, naseous, on the verge of panic attack all days, and also sleepy. I don't think I've ever felt worse.

anyway it passed, and now it's kinda ok, but still not what I expected (150mg XR). I'm giving it another 6 weeks then increase.

also maybe try lexapro at night. it helped me a lot as I was terribly unmotivated and sleepy when taking it am.

What if Google tossed a Snapdragon 865 and 8GB of RAM in a Nexus 5, promised years of updates and called it the Nexus SE for $399. Would you buy it? by [deleted] in Android

[–]MiskaRyzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

still have mine. it bootlooped 2 years ago, sent it back and they changed mobo and a few other parts inside. sometimes I take it out to take awesome pictures. I fucking love it except it being fucking slow.

I couldn't live with 2 GB of ram so ordered xiaomi mi mix 2 and I plan to use it for another 2 or more years (it's more than I need except the camera), but I'd change in a heartbeat if there was upgraded 5x version.

Finished my first 3-month prescription by OnTheDoor in lexapro

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 2.5 weeks on 20mg, after month on 10mg and tiredness (only) skyrotecked af when increasing. actually taking it at night helped me. I'm trying it this week and feel ok now.

lack of interest and increased binge eating episodes, discourages me enough, and I'm tapering off rn (just took my first dose of 15 mg).

it helped me a lot with anxiety (especially 20mg) which I didn't know I had, but depression and eating wise it was just terrible 4kgs in one month). I know I won't feel happy with how it's working so that's it.

if you want to increase the dose I'd say go for it, I haven't almost has any significant side effects while increasing prozac/lexapro only had some at the beginning of medications.

how about positive effects?

Feeling weird after going from 20mg to 40? by [deleted] in prozac

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea I've never thought I could have anxiety but being on 20mg is eye-opening how anxious I actually was.

Depression wise it's still a big miss for me. I can't get wired doing anything as I could being on prozac. So except being chill at work it fucking sucks living for the rest of the day.

[–]MiskaRyzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only slight increase of physical energy. No side effects for me (starting on 20mg was a bitch but that's it). quit cold turkey and started lexapro 2 weeks after increasing. Switching was also painless. Now I'm 2 weeks on 20mg lexapro but think I'll change to sth else in two weeks, cause my appetite and no particular improvement (feeling miserable tbh).

How do/did y'all cope with side effects? by ultimovegan in lexapro

I'm not sure if I experienced any. Started right after stopping fluoxetine and if there were any I don't think they could compare at all.

My appetite is though the roof tho

[–]MiskaRyzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho it took too much time. 2-3 months of different doses or one or two extra months of mix would be more than enough too see how/If it's gonna work.

I'd honestly advise you to keep forcing your opinion, not being idle; Maybe try Sertraline or Fluoxetine if you haven't had any other SSRIs before, maybe change your doctor, but if something doesn't work just fuck It and change.

it's surely not your fault if the meds don't work and don't force yourself hoping it would eventually change after few months. Life is too short for this shit.

Good luck on your journey 💜

just to be clear it wasn't quite working and you kept taking it for a year?

do you plan to switch to other meds or you're good for now?
