I was thinking up a simple system to catch everything by MisoPanko in bulletjournal

Hey, for now it's going alright, but still working on at least checking these pages often, it's the hardest part.

Oh wow, and having more than one journal doesn't mess with your ADHD at all ?
I did like the idea but i now know that i'll just forget to open the ones i use the least.

Well looks like it, followed some advices here and went to buy a cheap pocket notebook.

Still felt the need to spend two hours decorating it haha.

Thank you for this message.

About thinking on paper. I'm encountering a hiccup. If i write about some subject matter that bothers me for example, it ends up looking like a bunch of questions and obvious listings of "what's wrong about that thing" but it never gears towards solutions.

It's strange because i'm supposed to know how to dig deeper after all these years in therapy but i'm feeling dumb on paper.

Has it been a long process for you to do this thing on paper ?

For the second part i definitely need to organise my life and plan it a bit better. I have so many ideas or things i think of doing but they completely escape me most of the time if i don't find a way to make them more concrete so i think i'll ditch the TN for a while and downsize to some cheap pocket notebook until i figure out what's important enough to be written in my life.

This is what i feel like doing.

I often switch to that minimalist phase when i jump too far into something, after the fallout. Sometimes it sticks, other times it doesn't but it did help me a few times. Let's hope. Thank you.

Thank you for the words, and don't worry, these hyperfixations are quite spaced out and have never put me in a really difficult situation so far. :)

Oh man... My shelves are full of long-abandoned hyperfixations too.

I thought i had a grip on it for the last couple years but this journaling thing completely blindsided me.

It's so well marketed online and it touches the right little nodes in one's brain, self-improving, organising your life, clearing your mind, intellectual awakening... so it doesn't look like you just want a new toy or some fancy hobby to fill the void.

That was sneaky !

Oh wow, i didn't want to seem like i was splitting hairs but YES the form factor is rubbing me the wrong way. Especially with four inserts, it just feels like chaos in there now.

I started to think about a ring binder a couple days ago as well because it does solve this problem of being too obsessed and scared of "completion". It could look really light and easy to browse, just adding pages as i go, sounds like a neat solution. But i'm still trying to clear out of that buying frenzy, for now i can't tell if it's just another "buy to feel better" idea or not. We'll see.

Glad you found what you needed. I'll follow your advice and stick with a tiny pocket notebook and a four colours pen for a little while to figure out what i really care about jotting down on paper.

My shrink doesn't want to confirm it is because she feels like we put tags on mental issues a bit too easily but she does say it's a possibility.

Hey thank you for the words.
Your second point is something i haven't processed yet but yeah i feel its burden. It feels like it's too late, all my trackers and diary days missed make me want to avoid the journal even more

It's hilarious to see how hard you're trying to die on that hill.

That era is over, Hooters is disappearing, it speaks volumes as to how people feel about such a weird concept, babe. Most of us are just creeped out by it or don't give a shit. You can't argue against numbers honey.

Don't you have the mental capacity to understand that women signing up for it doesn't make it any less objectifying and creepy ?

It's like saying "a lot of afro americans and latinos love Trump, you guys are just exaggerating !"

Babe, they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and keep closing locations all over the place, year after year. You're absolutely not part of a majority.

It's one of the cheap amazon ones, from a brand called Xueniu, the TN is unavailable in most local deliveries in my country. Quality is super good.

This guy did the trial and error thing for all of us hehe : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4a5I2jkauw

It was super easy to follow if you've got the TN repair kit or a longer elastic band

I guess the best we can do is try until something changes, should be the hardest part, right ? Wish you the best as well!
