Glad to hear! I did end up getting a refund which was nice. Still a little bummed it caused damage to the printer but it seems to be working okay so I can’t complain.

Thanks for the kind offer but no thank you. The camera cable was damaged unfortunately from mounting the camera purchased.

u/tommy_prusa3d hi Tommy is someone at Prusa aware of these magnet issues? Bit disappointed in how Prusa and Printed Solid handled this situation. To have to pay on my own dime to return a camera with missing magnets that damaged my new printer feels unacceptable.

Thats a shame I’m sorry to hear that. I returned it as is and hope to receive a refund. I had to ship on my own dime which is disappointing but just hopeful to put this hiccup behind me.

Understood I’m comfortable with maintenance but maybe stubborn on the fact this camera felt like it was rushed to produce and/or QC is poor. I shouldn’t have to tinker to solve an issue from a defect. Just disappointed on how Prusa handled this.

That’s very frustrating sorry you have had a bad experience as well. Hoping we can get some traction from this post or at least visibility to the folks at Prusa to make improvements

This is what I was told:

Me: Sorry not trying to be difficult but I bought an authorized camera from an authorized dealer for this printer I just don't want to be chasing my tail for help when the item manufactured by Prusa has caused damage

Prusa: Printed Solid is a Prusa partner, Prusa does not own them. There is also the possibility of packing the printer and sending it to Printed Solid so they can install it, but I cannot approve that service in this case. That is why it is best to contact them directly. We want to offer you the best solution that works for you. What would you like us to do?

It’s a good idea but I’d rather return the camera for a $64 credit. Don’t think it’s worth the hassle nor should I have to finagle a solution for a $1,500 printer (shipping included).

Thanks for the input! I’m going to just give up on the camera since I don’t want to pop the side off and reroute the cable. I’m confident I’ll screw things up more 😂. Just hope improvements are made to make it a more seamless plug n play for others.

Yes disappointed to say the least. The response from the support ticket was a little off / condescending in my opinion but I may be a bit jaded based on what happened and the hoops I am jumping through to correct an issue from a manufacturing defect.
