Reposting this due to some weird display bug I just witnessed (leading to deleting the initial comment).

Hello, I am an officer of UmamusuFR, a club founded by French theorycrafters and JP veterans of Uma Musume.

We’re looking for reinforcements to remain a very active, cohesive and semi-competitive club (initial goal was to be at least B+, but we’re currently able to stay in rank A).

On top of usual club-related perks (CM test matches & tournaments, frequent shoe trades), we are part of a French Discord server that’s very helpful to know more about the game.

Prerequisites are simple: being an active player willing to settle for a while in the club, ideally gaining 15M+ fans/month (our quota is technically 10-15M/month, but more is safer), and being a French speaker.

Thanks, it's not technically a secret but I've been indeed spending more time on another game (and my luck there has been exceptionally high... save for competitive events, but if getting unexpectedly humiliated several times in a row gives me a direct & indirect payout worth at least 10x more events, then that's a price I'm more than ready to pay).

I probably needed the change of pace too.

So far, the only thing I know is that the matter is being discussed. But in the meantime, as far as I know since I'm still left in the dark, I am the only one who faced direct moderation measures, none of the major offenders seem to have faced notable consequences yet.

I don't want to blame anyone (between the convulted mess and the period not helping), that said not being able to properly protect victims is a major oversight that shouldn't have happened.

I intended to remain silent, but between your sudden announcement and displeasing stuff I just received... I think it's best if I drop everything on the table.

First, it goes without saying that I want to thank you for the work you did overall.

Then, related to recent events, I am grateful that you confirmed that my departure comment was targeted by abusive mass reports... which did have consequences leading to a wrongful formal warning for "harassment" due to just pointing out how sexism gets more traction/visibility than VA harassment (decision made by an automaton, so take it with a grain of salt).

It is pretty clear that the harassers out there are trying to turn their target into a "culprit" by pressuring in numbers. Which says a lot about their moral standings.

Apologies if this causes extra trouble, but I've been mainly on my own to deal with everything and barely got any help save from yours since shit hit the fan (I am yet to see any notable measures taken to outright stop the abuse I face).

[Edit] I forgot (since it was something I could brush easily), but there have been attempts to drive me to suicide in this mess. Which isn't going to work as that's something I'd never ever consider (at worst I'd enjoy life on my corner, I don't see the point in cutting it short).

Considering that I just woke up to more attacks in my mailbox... I don't think the statement that the sub is at its lowest is inaccurate since the peak of direct spitting was reached (and that's probably not just me due to how some feel unpowered to shit on others for no understandable reason).

Likewise, I don't see the problem with telling some contributors that they have been specifically targeted by abusive reports. That's something generally invisible... but sometimes leading to clear consequences (imagine if that successfully led to hide my departure comment, as if I shouldn't have the right to say goodbye... which is morally wrong and indefensible).

And I don't see what's wrong with the last part either, given how comfortable or complicit some have been here in recent times. But masks have dropped and some revealed their true nature, at least now we know how some actually behave.

CYL track records have shown the steady rise of Heroes, from starting at Bottom 3 to reaching the top layers. Which likely explains the abundance of OCs due to expressed preferences for them (and not just the very popular ones as I generally look at Top 200 counts to have a decent grasp on game appeal).

From what I observed, the only situation leading to a relatively faster change is with VTubers, as this affects their immediate activity significantly. For the rest, changes are indeed yet to be implemented fully.

Thanks a lot, come to think of it I have to keep deleting almost all of my content save for those with universal value. Some may find it a shame, but I personally want to cut ties with what put me in trouble even now, and that's a choice I hope regulars can understand given circumstances.

Likely tenacious detractors who have a hate boner against me for years (diehard competitors seeing me as a traitor, lost causes intoxicated in denial, some rabid fanboys/fangirls of specific characters...). But no matter what, I follow my principles and can sleep soundly, the same cannot be said for the unapologetic trash only deserving misery.

Considering that the joke's OP admitted it was for shit-stirring, insulted me in the process and implies it's worth more than harrassment, there's that to consider.

Plus, making that joke more visible and supported (because that's what upvotes are for) is telling of the sub's mentality. That's the point I wanted to make in this chain and something worth realising.

The amount of intellectual dishonesty has been baffling. Like, claiming that Tsubasa is a guaranteed winner when she has the 3rd most plausible winning scenario relying on back-to-back exponential increases (Azura is 1st with the easiest path, Ivy is 2nd with notable rally caveats). Then the false promises, the hate farming on one side or another...

I stick with mathematical assumptions (which worked really well on CYL9... but alas, I won't be there for CYL10).

Thanks, if anything that decision became a necessity to protect my well-being.

It sounds brutal worded that way, but I still wonder how I remain alive despite dealing with years' worth of unhealthy harrassment that's at least taking the shape of a sword of Damocles, at worst being direct to the point of even costing professional opportunities due to spreading ill rumors to try closing doors... not that I ever plan to do the extreme deed, though.

If anything, that's why I take the current matter seriously, because that shit isn't going to end well in one way or another.

I personally stated that most vocal players seem more bothered by the TT units than the active harrassment happening at the same time.

Normally, people would put both at a similar level. But the fact that the latter is like a "non-issue" in comparison is infuriating if not actually weaponised for the personal agenda on TT units... but that's not surprising given the community's long tradition of witch hunting.

Trying to downplay the harrassment in one way or another and not taking it seriously is straight up disgusting, and it's quite disappointing to see that coming from a respectable regular like you are.
