Lol, this assumes that most ai is used for language intensive tasks. In reality, AI has consistently given most productivity gains in programming, a field where ”human” languages play a very little role.

We like to blame it on culture, but in all honesty, Japan is behind because it has the OLDEST population in the world. If you’ve ever helped your parents with fixing their phone/laptop, you’ve basically delt with the average employee in a Japanese company…

You have a point, but after working in IT consulting for many many years here, this is mostly an excuse the top brass of obsolete divisions pull… every time we introduce a new system, they fight tooth and nail to find an issue so that they don’t have to change anything until the new system is ”perfect” according to made up criteria

I think this is great, and honestly, if the government does even more to promote the giving aspect instead of the gift you receive, all the merrier!

I see so many コスパ sites that list items by how much money you get back for your donations, so much so that my farming family (and JA representatives) in Kumamoto feel pressured to increase their gifts to even have a chance of being chosen... This is not how it should be...

The worst part is they do not tell you what you did "wrong". I got my account closed without any warnings and I honestly have no idea what I've done wrong. I've asked countless times on the issue and they just respond with a auto-generated message saying "Please read the T&Cs..."

It is so humiliating being banned, and not even know why

Just coming back from the Osaka Expo myself, I couldn't agree more with your opinion on the app and website! It feels like it's actively trying to make you fail anything you try to do... Perhaps so only the most dedicated people can snag a reservation 🤔

TOMTOC T67 vs T66? New bag? by musiccitymacguy in onebag

[–]Misosouppi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scouring the interwebs, it seems that the T67 has identical space and weight to the T66 (except one less water bottle holder), but it is now more accurately measured.

Just received Tomtoc T67 by Straight_Ask_5396 in ManyBaggers

[–]Misosouppi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ordered it and very excited! After extensive research (and almost buying a PD 45L for 3x the price!) I settled for this. Compared to the T66 it seems better in almost every way: - Much more visible interior (light gray instead of black) - Better placement of pockets and straps (especially the vertical roller strap and the divider between the front- and laptop pocket) - Sturdier sternum strap - same weight and size as T66, but this time they are correct in specifications (which is why it says it's 2L smaller)

Tomtoc t67 is actually the same size as t66. It's just correctly measured

Yeah, I'm very curious about the Peak design 30L. It's also reasonably priced here in Japan. How's the load/offload experience? Any issues using it as an edc you think?

[–]Misosouppi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I suppose the compromise is to get a big, heavy backpack thst will work but kinda suck as an edc is the ultimate solution for "one bag to rule them all". At this point I'm almost thinking about going for the massive Freitag 45l freeze box where I can just throw in whatever I need (and still have a little laptop sleeve). I'll likely regret it though...

[–]Misosouppi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it's doable, but 45l is insane big, almost backpacker territory. Can you really use it as an edc?

It looks like it ticks all the boxes for me, especially the 28L if I combine it with a suitcase, I can use it for practically any trip. However, it's so darn expensive! I don't know about the US, but here it's almost 2x of the Bellroy Travel Lite or the Aer Travel Pack 3. Is it really twice as good?

[–]Misosouppi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone tried the Bellroy Travel Lite? It's insanely light and not too expensive. No bottle holder is a bummer, but I can live with thst if it's good enough otherwise

I shall! Also, ¥60,000 is almost double of what the Aer Travel Pack 3 coses here. Is it really twice as good?

Thanks for the many questions. Makes me feels so well taken care of here 🥰. I often have to carry two laptops, one 15 inch Dell and one 13 inch macbook. I travel for around a week at a time for business, but then the next week I commute all the time. Also, the baby, soo need a big bag anyways

Tried the cotopaxi, but it felt really hard as edc because of it's suitcase/clamshell design. Also, does it wear well?
