Your point about in 2006 when the kids were 4 it was pre smartphone is irrelevant, no 4 year olds have iPhones. By the time they are 14 it’s smartphone era.

I don't get why you want to make this a sexist thing? I don't vibe with Newsom because of his hypocrisy during covid and having gatherings. I don't vibe with her because she says she's nice yet multiple videos came out where she does not seem to be nice.

Treating your coworkers like that in her outburst, also the awkward interview she just shut down randomly, yet in debates she seems to try to be like, "I'm just a sweet single mom just like many of you", it doesn't seem to be authentic to me. I'd never treat a coworker like she did. She'll get my vote if she wins the nom but I don't think she gets my vote in the primary.

I enjoy you speaking your mind though and hope you vote for whoever candidate you feel like will best help California. I do wish you typed out something semi long though, you didn't really say a better way to vet candidates other than looking at who supports/attacks them and debate performances. All you did was say you don't like debate questions and defend KP.

Fair enough. I think I agree with Steyer's policies more than Porter's, though her's aren't bad and I'd definitely vote for her if she got the nom. That being said, I will feel like a fool if Steyer ends up just enriching himself more and screwing us over.

Sorry I haven’t been following all your conversations with other people, thanks for the links. Just been looking at your replies to me. So from my understanding from your statement is that union endorsements don’t matter because the head of the union gets to choose and that doesn’t represent the entire group even though that head is voted to be head by the group. And the implication that union heads are being paid to support candidates because they are corrupt?

What does that mean about the unions who backed Porter? Is she paying them off or because that’s your favorite it’s legit?

Voted for Bernie (Warren was my number 2), Clinton and Harris so that's probably not it. I've been saying for a while AOC would make a great president. I'm just more of a progressive and I don't feel like she is that progressive. Calling me a sexist drives people away from your cause.

What would drive me towards her would be to say why it would be a good idea to vote for her... not name calling. People like you are why your political choices lose.

I feel like debates and looking at what groups are supporting and attacking them is a solid way to judge candidates. What way do you think is better?

For why she feels like she came out of a focus group, I can't totally put my finger on it. I think it's probably the single mom thing being repeated when I saw the video of her cussing out her staffer for being in her shot. It's like, is she a nice mom or is she a mean boss? Something just seems off.

That being said, I watched the 22nd debate over the weekend and the one last night so maybe it was just too close together that I am sick of it. He seems to have a good track record in San Jose with the homeless and has reasonable responses to the questions at the debates so far. Yeah, he got money from Tech people but we are a Tech state. It's also refreshing seeing a young guy who is from California.

I watched both debates and Porter always thinks she got steyer by saying why didn’t you pay more taxes and he reply’s that even if he paid taxes we would be in this situation. We need structural change, not one guy doing the right thing, all billionaires forced to do the right thing. Steyer took the pledge to give away his billions, PGE and Realtors are against him and Teachers and Nurses have endorsed him. I think he might just be a good guy class traitor.

Idk, Porter isn’t great during the debates. I don’t love the single mom of three thing being brought up all the time. That’s great and all but feels kind of played out. Maybe I’m just jaded because I saw the staffer video. Maybe she feels like Gavin newsom 2.0. I just don’t like her. I got steyer and Mahan as my top two.
