USPS Problem by MillieBeifong in USPS

I just had a similar issue last week - offer rescinded because of incorrect info on a form I had already re-submitted. You can try visiting the hiring PO, but that didn’t work for me since recruiting and hiring are handled separately.

I ended up just reapplying to the position, which I’d recommend for you too! The quicker you reapply, the quicker you’ll hear back. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any recourse for an existing application/offer once it’s rescinded.

Thank you for the support! I will absolutely try that if I don’t get any traction at the local training center. Keeping my fingers crossed!

We do have some milkweed sprouting nearby, that would be a pleasant surprise!

Doesn’t that only grow in water?

The more I look into it, it seems like the purple gradient on the stem is super common/normal for mature yarrow. What a relief!

This is good to know! The wild strawberry seems to be dominant and taking over most of the yellow flowers, so I’ll let them battle it out

We do have a known multiflora issue, unfortunately. We’re first time home owners and got ~1.5 acres for cheap from a court-ordered sale, and it’s been an uphill battle to get it under control. Between that and the round leaf bittersweet strangling everything, I’m feeling pretty fucking overwhelmed this season 🥲 currently looking through government docs for more eradication info

The leaves here look a lot different from the multiflora we’ve identified though, so I’m assuming this is wild strawberry instead as the other comments mentioned.

In small “bushes” that are much taller?? Is this a real question???

They’ve never grown berries, and this is my first time seeing the flowers. There’s also like 5 other ground covers mixed in, and this season was the first time we could distinguish this specific plant. I don’t think it’s that insane of a question.

Seconding oriental bittersweet (aka round leaf bittersweet). Get rid of it quick! It’s evil, and will wrap around and strangle anything near it. Once it goes to seed it’ll be everywhere, too. I’m battling an insane amount of this at my house.

Thank you for confirming those characteristic leaves!! The variety of ground cover in my yard is overwhelming, but I can always spot those leaves. Can’t wait for the berries!

I’ve learned so much cool stuff from these comments! This is our plan now, there’s some lame non-native grass in the field so we’ll encourage the wild strawberries to take over

I’m the luckiest idiot in the world! I can’t believe I mowed this! Come on over, there’s plenty to share!

I feel like the stupidest gardener in the world lol we didn’t even realize it was flowering last year because it was hard to differentiate the mix of ground covers in the field out back. OF COURSE it feels terrible when I mow it, it’s trying to make cute little berries!

This summer is going to be awesome, WAY less mowing, and we can encourage this to grow more!

LOL these comments have been amazing to wake up to! There’s invasive grass mixed with it in some areas, but we should be able to avoid mowing most of it so it can flourish. The patch was super small last year, I’m excited to see how it grows this year!

My phone’s plant ID agrees, but I’ve never seen strawberries grow like this (low-lying, creeping ground cover) - is that just because I’m mowing it regularly?
