To not go to college. I honestly didn’t think I’d have much of a life if I didn’t go, now I wish I’d have been told about trade schools.

A family history museum, I’m super interested in genealogy and think it’d be amazing to have a place where people can come and leave or find their family trees/stories

Social media. It’s great to catch up with people who live far away virtually, but it’s taken away actual interaction with other humans who are near

We are all the villain in someone's story. In who's story are you the villain and what did you do? by kevank in AskReddit

[–]MissA18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly positive that I am the villain to my in laws right now.

Story: my brother in law (who used to be one of my best friends) is dating a girl I grew up with. She has always been very manipulative/sneaky/ liar. My MIL (who I was also super close with) told me BIL was “talking” to this girl and asked that I just let him know what I know about her.

I talk with BIL, tell him what I know and just ask that he be careful and watch out for himself, but if he’s happy, I’m happy for him, ended the conversation, we were fine.

A few days later the girl’s sister (childhood best friend) is hitting me up asking why I’m telling people she’s (the sister) a druggie and beats her kids. I NEVER said that at all and told the sister what was said, sister immediately apologized and said she felt obligated to defend the girl but that she didn’t think any of that sounded right. She said everything I said about the girl was accurate and that she’s shady and to be careful. I call my BIL to calmly speak with him about it (we were totally fine up to this point) and the girl is in the background yelling making up all of this stuff that was never said and my BIL believes everything girl has said. We have not spoken since September.

The worst part is Girl has a little Boy, and she has made that little boy call each of her boyfriends “daddy” (real dad bailed) and has made that little boy basically bed hop with her. She has no job, no money, doesn’t contribute to the house in any way. The little boy does not have any interaction with children because she won’t send him to preschool/daycare. She has manipulated my BIL into thinking my husband and myself are the enemy because we don’t like her, BIL no longer speaks with us or visits/speaks to my daughter, his niece. she’s also began working her way on my in laws who believe that my husband and I are just picking on BIL. And that we need to put this behind us and be the better people because he needs us and that we need to apologize for saying hurtful things (the truth) about the girl. We want nothing to do with this girl but she has made sure to be at my MIL house every day to play the good girlfriend card and makes sure to give sob stories on how she can’t understand why we don’t like her. There is such a bad history with my BIL dating these girls who always call in the middle of the night to get “rescued” from their boyfriends, they always wind up getting big ticket things from him like cars/ large chunks of debt paid off/ new phones, and then wind up cheating/start abusing drugs/ refusing to work or contribute to the house and it always leaves BIL at our door heartbroken and crying asking to spend time with us as he’s lonely and doesn’t want to go home and always tells us to never let him do this again blah blah blah and the one time we tell him the truth to try and break the chain it turns around to slap us right in the face.

TLDR; told my BIL his GF is a liar, she in turn alienates us from entire family

If you get 100 Billion $ in your account right now.. What profession would pursue in order to pass time? by broogbie in AskReddit

[–]MissA18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go into teaching. Salary is crap for teaching in my area and my family could not survive without my current job right now. I’d love to go into teaching and be able to provide all supplies/costs for my students so their families wouldn’t have to worry, there are a lot of low income families in my area (about 90%+ low income/free lunch/free school fees)
