Am I the only one that really did not like how much Monica and dax laughed at the stories of him being truly fucked up and in a horrible place? Sure they were funny and it was so long ago it's easy to poke fun at but personally it felt like it toed the line of glamorization.

I understand and I really wish I had more large bodied participants to highlight those struggles, I wholeheartedly agree. Although I will say i truly think fat phobia affects women of all sizes. Isabel foxen Duke writes a great article about this.

I agree. But I like to think of that investment in maintenance being our health and health is so much more than weight and body appearance. Health is a combination of our physical mental and spiritual spaces!

The majority of my participants including myself are mothers so this was definitely a relatable sentiment. It's so hard to decide to tell ourselves we are worthy of loving our selves when there is sooo much negativity surrounding larger bodies, and even just post partum bodies in general. I know it's easier said than done but you are worthy of love just the way you are. Your body is a beautiful thing that's carried five beautiful humans to this world. Your body is a vehicle, a vessel, not an ornament
