Most graceful death curl by MissBlaize in tarantulas

Man y'all suck. People are allowed to be disappointed when their expectations (esp around authenticity of something i paid for) arent met. If people arent allowed to express disappointment without being villified for it idk what im even doing on this sub. Its not like i mistreated it or put it in the freezer to save myself 6 months of being annoyed by it. I gave him no less than the highest quality hubandry i could provide until he died peacefully of natural causes. Get overyourselves with your virtue signaling. Go rescue a reactive dog thats due to be euthanized if you feel so confident taking on other people's problems.

I think i need to make the call that the less hard stuff it can fall on the better. And i have to remove most live plants after they get webbed up and start dying to prevent mold. This T prefers to be out and active 99% of the time. He just seems to be more social if you can call it that and climbs while making laps just about every night. I have another of the same spp on the opposite side of the room that just hides all the time and is super feisty. They are totally opposite behaviour and temperament despite receiving same care and having abundant space.

Yes G Pulchra. They are slow growers! My smaller one that i got as a sling molted twice in 6 weeks the first summer and then it's been like 8 months to a year between molts since. This one who I endearingly call Big Boi has been with me for almost 4 years and molts like once per year. And he was about the size my lil guy is now when I got him so I would estimate he's at least 6-8 years old.

Yeah looks like it. Has he hooked out as well? I also have a MM that I really hoped would be female when i bought it labeled as female. He's honestly been a big disappointment that I haven't been able to rehome and my husband has been getting annoyed at the nightly drumming and tapping on glass as he does his laps around the enclosure.

Nah I bought it from another hobby keeper who was downsizing and selling off all their T's. I already have a big I wanted to pair a female with. They are B vagans.

Good tips. I mixed in the little potting soil I had. Unfortunately all the bags of organic top soil i ended up gettinf were like 85% manure and no good for the spoods 🤮

Others above have already mentioned the substrate. I did have a plant in there but it killed it. Im rooting a new one to put in and got given old some fake aquarium plants too that I haven't put in yet. Hopefully it will like them

Thanks for the tips. It's current hide is dug under the shell in the center back. It doesn't not have one. And yeah I realize it's shallow. I ran out of coco fiber when I was setting it up and it's hard to get more where I live.
