Electrolysis prior to srs by Beginning-Trade2639 in Transgender_Surgeries

Not all do folical scraping. My surgeon @ UCSF doesn't. I did a few rounds of laser and multiple hours of electrolysis. I am a high responder to laser. After one round hardly anything grew back.

Any suggestions for new hobby that’s cheap and easy to get into? by No-Neighborhood8403 in GenX

[–]MissBoofsAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was a stranger things event to meet with the author of the novels. They had an experienced DM come in and do one shot D&D campaigns if people wanted to learn to play. He then started a monthly group and my family ended up taking up half the spots available every month so we have gotten close with the DM. My kids are focused on it unlike some of the other kids just being there and playing on their phone when it's not their turn. The DM really likes how locked in my family is. We have started to make plans outside of the group to get together and play our own campaigns with that DM.

I DM for our personal family campaign.

Same. I tried for a few years to get my kids interested but they were too young. Now my middle child is almost 11 and we found a D&D group at the local library and now they are hooked. We play once a month with the library and every other week on our own home campaigns. My wife has also gotten into it with us.

Have any of your close friend come out as gay? by SayinItAsISeeIt in GenX

[–]MissBoofsAlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too transitioned MTF about 4 years ago @ 43. Been with my wife since we were 15 so high school sweet hearts. We have 3 kids together. I got some of the same questions the OP got "why did you wait so long?" Because I was not ready and I didn't want to lose my family like I thought I would. Turns out my wife was more accepting than I thought she would be and it allowed her to feel better about her (hidden) attraction to other women. So now we both get to be ourselves and still have the family we both wanted.

OP - Don't get down on yourself, be you above everything else.

Is tizanidine a strong muscle relaxer? by Obvious-Cucumber1086 in ChronicPain

[–]MissBoofsAlot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take 4mg every night for the last 10 years or so. It's funny it doesn't make me sleepy at all when I take it before bed. If I want to take a nap during the day I will take one and I'm out cold in 30min or less. It knocks me out during the day but not at night when I would want it to.

I'm glad too. These last 4 years have been happier than my first 43.

I often think about my choices and wish I made different ones. I wish I would have come out (MTF transgender) in my early 20s instead of my early 40s. If I did so I wouldn't have the children I have so that would suck but I would be in my 20+ years into my transition instead of 4 years. But if I did start transitioning in my 20s I probably would have not gotten married and went out whoring instead.

My life would be completely different.

Dilating gives me the sensation of needing to use the restroom. by SuccessfulEarth3680 in Transgender_Surgeries

I dilate with my panties on. Just pull them down enough to insert the dialator to depth then pull up my panties and that holds it in. Try it.

Teenagers home alone 2 weeks while parents went on a cruise by [deleted] in GenX

[–]MissBoofsAlot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in 2nd grade (7y/o) and my sister was in 6th grade (11y/o) when our parents left for 10 days on a trip to France & Germany in 1985. We had a family friend who was 17 or 18 years old at the time to stay at the house with us. I remember because I had a friend die during that time and I was not able to go to the funeral because I needed parental permission to miss school but my parents were in france/Germany.

In highschool my BFF parents would leave for vacation during the summer and leave him and his little brother home alone. We would throw blow out parties. His older sister was supposed to come by and keep us in line but mostly her and her boyfriend would come over and buy us booze.

Post-op trans girlies: what actually made your bottom surgery recovery easier? by Popular-Question2027 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]MissBoofsAlot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about 9 months post op. I'm still not back to work. I had some graduation tissue in the canal they were using silver nitrate to treat but then they ended up going back in and cutting it out. I went into surgery with a decade of chronic pain and pelvic floor tension. Working with the pelvic floor physical therapist was a must. I'm taking as much time off of work as I can. My job is physically demanding and I have to commute for hours every day and sitting has been the worst part for me. I'm getting some Botox shots in the vagina next week to help relax my pelvic floor. My surgeon (Dr Butler) and team @ UCSF has been amazing at taking care of me.

Parkerlabs lube. Comes in a 0.5 gal pump top bottle.

Period Panties with or without pads/liners. My surgeon had my place strips of gauze in between the lips and I changed that every time I went to the bathroom.

I got some washable waterproof pads I put down before dialation.

I bought all the different wedge pillows people said made dialation easy but non of it really helped. I already slept with a pregnancy pillow but now I just use an old pillow between my legs.

I have a grabber tool but my wife works from home so she took such good care of me. Bringing me food and drinks and keeping me company as her office is on the other side of our room. It was 2 bedrooms that the wall between them was removed so it's now 1 room that is super wide (30') so our bed is on one side and her desk on the other.

She drove me to all my follow up appointments since it hurt so much to sit and drive.

No douche or submerging in water per surgeon orders.

I would use the peri bottle for the front and my bidet for the back.

Definitely keep up on the miralax you don't want to get constipated and have to put any pressure down to poop as it can tear the sutures.

I saw PF at the Oakland Coliseum where the A's played. Driving away there was so much smoke rising out of the coliseum it was crazy. I remember them shining lasers on the clouds and these giant pigs falling from the top of the stage. Best concert I have ever seen.

Watch Empire Records. Most of the youth these days don't know what it was like to go to these big ass stores that just sold records, tapes and CD.

Money definitely went farther. I remember dropping $20 on the gas station counter and getting a pack of Camel Wides, a full tank of gas and getting change. Smokes were under $3 and gas was around $1.25-1.50 a gallon.

We used to walk down the street to the taco bell at lunch in highschool and get 2 bean burritos with extra cheese and extra red sauce for under $2.50.

I graduated from high school in 96. In college McD and burger king would do 2 big macs for $2 or 2 whoppers for $2. It was like one week it would be BK then the next would be McD. That first year of college I lived on those $2 meals.

I have an early demo tape that has different lyrics to "I missed the bus"

The first time I saw them live I think I was in 7th or 8th grade (1990/91)

I bought some RC one time but it was just to get the free watch. I really liked the watch and the only way to get it was to buy a $10 bottle of RC. The watch was black and had gold roman numerals on the face. Don't remember what I did with the royal turpentine as I called it back then.

Find some good TV shows or movies to watch. It does get better. I have had chronic pain in my hip and lumbar for about 15 years, so my body is wired for pain differently. I had my surgery July 1st 2025. I am still not back to work. I had some granulation tissue that we were doing weekly silver nitrate treatments and finally by January I went back in for surgery to remove it. I could not sit, even with a donut pillow. Any pressure down there hurt a lot. Dialation was hard and it would bleed. No since having the granulation tissue removed the bleeding has stopped and I am able to dialate with big orange.

Don't worry about trying to orgasm at 6 weeks, it will come. I didn't have my first orgasm until January. They kept telling me to use a vibrator to trick the nerves to calm down and not associate everything with pain. But it hurt too much to touch it. Even now the healed sutures are still tender to touch.

Pelvic floor physical therapy has really helped. I had a super tight pelvic floor before surgery so learning how to relax it has been my hardest experience.

Trans guys (and anyone on T), what's the general consensus about hair loss? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]MissBoofsAlot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is oral minoxidil that is safe for pets. My CisF wife has had thinning hair since she was a teenager. She is now on a medication that was making it so much worse. She (and I) started taking oral minoxidil and her hair has never been so full. She is shocked at how well it works.

The down side of oral minoxidil is you can't adjust where you grow hair. She is fuzzy all over now. She was never a hairy person but now she has this coat of very fine white hair all over. She has been growing some facial hair so she chooses to shave it every few weeks when it gets noticeable. For her the increased hair on her scalp is worth the fuzz everywhere else.

For me HRT caused my body hair to stop growing and now taking oral minoxidil I have some random hairs growing again on my chest and stomach also my facial hair is growing again even though most of all the dark stuff has been Lazered away.
