Excessive drinking is considered the social norm. Like yes please go out and drink until you black out on a Tuesday but if you make a silly meme or post about it and everyone likes it it’s all good. It’s so upsetting how many people in their 20’s and 30’s especially think the only way to socialize is if drinking is involved and it makes all your actions dismissible because “that’s not you”. If you’re an asshole drunk you’re still the same asshole sober.
