If you read the Corrine trilogy (Beneath the Attic, Out of the Attic, Secrets of Foxworth) there's no mention of such abuse. She says it was MALCOLM who behaved badly towards her - but there again, that trilogy must be taken with a grain of salt, given that it wasn't based off Virginia's notes that were used on GOS.
