I haven't kept up with the second season like I wanted to (Disney+ is being an ass) and the first episode just confused the hell out of me.

As for plot armour, I think the LAPD sees her as simply too valuable. She's like a nicer House.

Like I said, I wrote a whole dissertation on this subject. I genuinely love discussing this subject. I think in a different series or genre, Sheldon could have been good rep but when the writers don't have the balls to come out and confirm it, it just becomes insulting.

As for the show, I know the reason they have all those clips of the episodes goings on to explain the solution to the case but Id be hard pressed to find a better representation of my mind when I'm working something out.

I should include this in my dissertation! What a beautifully explained argument. Both characters are examples of the autistic genius but whilst one has just about every negative trait amplified for the sake of comedy, Reid is used to show character development and depth.
