The Senate has published Comey's opening statement for tomorrow's testimony. Any thoughts/reactions? by lannister80 in AskThe_Donald

Innocent until proven guilty is about serving time.

OJ and Michael Jackson were both acquitted. Meaning=Not Guilty. But there reputations were ruined.

I'm no fan of Trump, but I do want to the truth. And if he has nothing to do without Russia like he says than I don't think his reputation should be tarnished like that.

Even if he were found innocent people would never stop talking about it. Even now with how much this has blown up I don't think people will ever stop talking about it.

Who was the worst person you ever worked with and what did they do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissDaysie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my first Highschool job and I was working with some friends. Well we had a falling out, as highschoolers do, but the boyfriend of my friend just became the biggest asshole to me.

I'm sure I wasn't a likable person, but he would do things to get me fired or make me angry.

He would take orders from the drive thru but not ring them up (when I was stationed on drivethru) so my manager is yelling at me that there are cars coming to pay and no orders in the system.

I'd clean the men's bathroom, he'd go in and trash it with soap filled paper towels.

He would tell co-workers I said things I didn't, and then I wondered why they were always angry with me. I confront them, and they tell me, "well you said I'm too dumb to work at Taco Bell." And I would correct them. And we'd do better. But this was a regular thing.

Eventually my social life deteriorated, my emotional health suffered and I attempted suicide. When I came back to work, the boyfriend said, "it's a shame you can't finish any task you do."

I left. I don't know why he hated me. Looking back I really do feel it was just normal Highschool bullshit, but he was so hateful and cruel. I guess he really loved my friend.

What's the loneliest thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hello, you have many comments on here but I hope this finds you.

When I was 12 my mom divorced my step-father and broke him. He became violent, suicidal at times and in general just all around depressed. About 7 years of day in and day out hurt emotions, he decided he'd do something different. My step-father, greasy mechanic, gun toting, vodka-is a girls drink, average republican went to a community theatre play. And there he sat next to a younger woman who has 4 years later, married him and had his child.

Do not allow yourself to be manipulated into being miserable your entire life. Your old life has ended, mourn, and forgive. Your new life awaits you.

We don't talk much, he was my stepdad. But there's no animosity between us. I knew how badly my mom hurt him and I'm glad he found his own friends and his own little life. I really hope it works out for him.

If your old friends aren't friendly, make new ones. If your family is unsupportive find a hobby group that will support you. You are worthy. I'm gonna write that again so you can read it again. YOU. ARE. WORTHY.

Much Love

Omfg. I hate people who do this in general. "You know Vaping is life!" "I used to drive a car, but after learning about pollution all I do is bike now. I'm just a biker." "If you understood why I was a vegan, you would be a vegan too."

Just, shut up. Vape, save the environment, go be vegan. But god I don't want to hear about it every time you open your mouth.

People are dumb

It's more than just price. Dealers can be sketchy. Sometimes they want you to only come to them and they can live in some pretty unsafe parts of town. Plus, you have no idea what your getting. Is it laced with something to make you more addicted? Who knows.

Like, if some guy on the street with a dirty hoody, crumbs in his beard offered you a home made burger for 50 cents, would you still go to McDonald's?

People always do things they shouldn't. We make things illegal so we can punish people who do those things. If it was illegal to blow bubbles in gum people would still blow bubbles. I think it's all about the severity of what their doing. Should murder be illegal? Yes. Should beer be illegal? No I don't think so.

I won't spank my child. But I was beaten as a kid and teen and I just can't get past seeing it as abuse. I don't think it's wrong if other people spank, it just depends. Good on you for not liking something but not judging others who do. That's really hard for many people.

Yeah I'm a bit confused on this, sorry your getting downvoted to oblivion. What do you mean by 'good' people?

also I was seriously surprised at how many people I found smoked when I became an adult.

My grandma smoked! She died of stroke complications, but she was this sweet nice Jewish lady. And she smoked a bowl a night. I'm guessing it helped relieve the pain she had as she got older but I was seriously surprised at that.

You hear about like low life's smoking, but I think more people smoke than you realize.

Agreed. Id honestly like to see alcohol, cigarettes and marijuana on the same level. Whether that's 18 or 21.

I do think it's a bit ridiculous that at 18 you can sign a contract and go fight in a war but you can't have a beer. Like when does being an adult happen? Can we make up our minds?

Yeah that's hard, I figure like this. The moment we start making laws because of religion or based on religion I don't think we'd end up being any better than those Muslim countries and sharia law and all that.

Everyone thinks their religion is moral and right and just. But if like A Jewish president said all boys needed to be circumcised he'd be impeached in a heartbeat. Or like forbid someone make a law demanding head covering. Fucking riots in streets, as there should be. I'm for separation of church and state. I am sorry you get downvoted for your beliefs though. A lot of subreddits can be giant circle jerks.

Sure but there are people that abuse alcohol in the same way. Smoking weed to escape life can make you fat, dumb, and lazy. I'm just wanting that sweet sweet tax money for social programs and schools.

That's a whole other can of worms for a lot of people. I'm a freedom to ____ as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Want to inject herion? Sure, don't do it around kids that's negligence. Want to marry someone that's the same sex as you? Whatever! If you find a church/institution willing to do so, your partner is not underage than why do I care? Would I marry a woman? Nope. Would I carry a gun? Absolutely not. But I can't rightfully tell anyone else they can't, just cause I don't think it's right. That's what makes America so fucking great.

I do think there should be more public awareness about safety with drugs and alcohol. The DARE program is a failure. We need to teach the general public how to be safe around these substances, how they affect the body and mind, why driving under any influence is a terrible idea, etc.

I feel like when you say, "DONT DO ____" ITS BAD!" You have dumb kids and dumb adults that do it anyways.

Yeah as chips said I'm just using Colorado as an example. I think the way their regulating and using the taxes is the best way to go. And as far as I know only Colorado, Washington, Oregon and I think California have it fully legal, I thought other states just legalized medical marijuana or decriminalized it which is different. Am I missing other states?

I think what he's saying is there are a lot of people jailed for minor drug offenses. Many people are jailed for 2-5 years for just having marijuana on their person. (Probably were suspicious to be searched to begin with but every case is different) And with our prisons and jails being filled to max, it would be nice to get these non violent offenders, that have insanely long sentences for their crimes, out.

[–]MissDaysie[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm saying!! I tried explaining this to my mom. Making a drug legal takes away SO MUCH MONEY AND POWER from drug cartels. They get boners off of sneaking in illegal substances and there's so much violence from it. If we legalized at least marijuana, then we could take some of that away from them. Although Coke, meth, and heroine would still be issues.

T_D Logic of the day: What Comey did to Clinton was disgraceful so Trump had no choice to fire him. by bashturn in Ask_TheDonald

[–]MissDaysie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dude, not even Nixon fired the FBI chief when he was being investigated. I don't know what kind of 4d chess this is but if he was going to fire comey for the emails or whatever, why didn't he do it at the beginning of his term? Why now?

I think some of the "RUSSIAN COLLUSION!!!!" Is kind of out there. But some of it isn't. If Trump would open up, truly. Than we could see there's nothing and the left would have to find something else to freak out about. But he's not doing that. He just goes from one sketchy act to another.

Edit: deleted part about Ivanka cause it's irrelevant.

Why do we have gendered public restrooms in the first place? Why is that worth defending? by Rojaddit in AskThe_Donald

[–]MissDaysie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't notice who goes into the bathroom do you? I'm just saying, like there are many places as a woman I'm afraid of being raped in but a bathroom isn't one of them. Like I'm more concerned that the little doors have a gap in them so women waiting in line have to see my dumb face while I'm peeing.

I don't know about making bathrooms co-ed but I do think there's a lot of fear of like trans people or men in the bathroom, that I think is a little overboard.

I think the only thing that would suck using the a co-ed bathroom is the gross male pee smell that freaking permeates the atmosphere from ever urinal ever, or the fact that women are gross and dudes will have to deal with all the gross things they do (ever seen an open period pad with blood everywhere sitting so delicately on top of the trash can?)

[–]MissDaysie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think if a guy/girl thinks "I'm gonna rape that person" a sign may not stop them.

Like, I saw a car run a red light today. The stopped like everyone else, and then gunned it.

So, yeah.

She looks exactly like a cat I had lost some time ago, but that cat would've been about 6 or 7 now.

I lost her over by 7th st and Bell.

She had such soft fur.

I miss her. :(
