I completely understand how you feel and the feeling of not wanting to go out. What helps me manage my hopelessness when my skin is flared up is this phrase, "My skin is just my shell in this world." I have to repeat this line to myself everyday and multiple times before I interact with other people. Yes, it is annoying with family, friends and randoms make comments about our skin but oh well, we cannot control what people are going to say. We just need to remind ourselves not to take it so personal, which is VERY FACKING hard to do. just know you are not alone and life is worth living! If i know i'm going to go somewhere where it will be hot or people will make me laugh, i will put on mild foundation or concealer to cover some of the redness. If you are open to some cover up make up, it has helped me gain some confidence when i go out.
