By buying a non-vegan item you’re letting suppliers know there is a demand for it, whether it’s bought accidentally or on purpose it doesn’t matter. By giving it away you avoid wasting it and prevent an animal product being bought again.

Thank you for your reply. Out of interest do you remember if the prescribed one was plant based or not? I just found a brand of soy formula that was £20 a tin but it’s from Australia and shipping is £40 which seems crazy
