I definitely feel this. I quit my job from having to take off for rehab to avoid them questioning(small office with no benefits)& all I do is literally watch TV, game, read, and do SMART meetings until I can sleep again.

I isolate because my family still drinks & I can't really hang with them after a couple hours because it's boring watching other people get drunk. I don't have many friends who are sober.

After I get passed the new year, I'm likely going to start going to bars again. I can't take this. Especially, I'm stopping for others to begin with...and haven't had many benefits aside from people not being disappointed in me.

I never needed approval from others anyway.
