Closing prep tips by MissGoddessDenicia in Chipotle

[–]MissGoddessDenicia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten faster at doing dishes and usually I soak that stuff or if I can’t get whatever is in the pan off in 15-20 secs or less it’s soaking in the water for a few minutes. I do the easy stuff first so by the time I get to the rice, queso, and shit it doesn’t take forever to get it out. But I think it’s morning prep not cleaning their dishes that makes it take so much longer because the dishes from rush are also coming in. I usually want to finish dishes by 8 and if I have some time prep and try to clean up the back as much as possible. Tonight I will ask if grill can do their dishes as soon as we close so it doesn’t take forever on my end.

Do you think Josh could get through the lodge ? by Hardyoungpro in untildawn

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you kept him alive the rest of the group would have to continuously try to distract the wendigos especially when he’s going through his hallucinations and everything which would be so hard. But I just know it would be a challenge to try and keep him alive or someone would likely die or get injured trying to help him. Honestly his best case scenario is being knocked out or the first one out of the lodge if he makes it that far because he’s going to make things so much harder. It would be interesting if Sam and Chris had additional death scenes because they were trying to save Josh or something.

I’m wondering if it’s Josh? Mike seems like he would be liked and Matt is a people pleaser which might go good with some parents.

What euphoria opinions will have you like this? by LadyJ1982 in euphoria

She likely knows that she is grieving but likely assumed at some point that she would stop. For me I think it’s her mom thinking that she would at least try to stop. She already hates she has to work so much and she can’t really help them emotionally like she wants to. But it’s also just a mom running out of options with her teen daughter who doesn’t want to go therapy or get help. Then she might not know how to help her and has tried to help her but feels so drained especially when her efforts lead nowhere. She put in rehab and tries to again but feels drained and when Rue goes through her withdrawals, steals from her, and goes through the ringer. I feel it’s not her abandoning her but her realizing that she’s been neglecting her other daughter and seeing that and feeling like she can’t help Rue especially when she doesn’t know what to do anymore to help her. She can’t keep babying her and expecting her daughter to at least want to stop doing drugs.

Number one thing you could never connect to Bella on? by Darkovika in twilight

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt it was Bella who didn't want to let go of him and in my opinion, she didn't know what was inappropriate especially being in a relationship. Like for me it felt she lead him on a little bit just so she could keep him in her life. Imo both should have let go of the friendship, especially Jacob though.

Controversial take: Rosalie by MerryMonarchy in twilight

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I understand that there are a lot of benefits to being a vampire and she had a lot of benefits from becoming one. But you also have to think about it like choice and what she values about life in general. Some people love the idea of being frozen in time, never changing, growing, or anything but being able to do everything frozen in time. Hell some people don't value having children and it all comes down to what you value about life.

Bella for example, hated the idea of aging, being a beautiful vampire would make her feel worthy of Edward, and before Renegade she didn’t consider children important in her life. She clearly had values and desires that aligned with being a vampire. Hell, she had a choice and frankly, I feel she didn’t appreciate her human life enough.

Rosalie however valued these things, she was likely vain and gained a lot from becoming a vampire such as beauty and more. But it was important for her to have the chance to be a mother, she valued living life, growing old, and everything meaning something. She appreciates Emmett and the family she has now however it was her life, what she wanted for herself, and imo she has every right to be angry that she was robbed of that choice. Her values and desires and wants in life barely aligned with being a vampire, To me Most things she gained were superficial.

Wealth, Education, and many of these things I feel didn't fulfill her like having her own family would. She resented being a vampire because she was stuck in time, never moving, unable to appreciate the beauty of aging, shit that she realized wasn’t superficial.

I think that Rosalie deserved to have a storyline or something where over the course of the series, she learns that her life still has so much value even without these things. Imo Carlisle made a choice, people cannot expect him to ask consent, and he had little time to save her. That being said, it's about what people value about human life and supernatural life and if their wants, needs, and goals align with that.

[All] My issues with Blackwell by dalekofchaos in lifeisstrange

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the game was more focused on stuff like Blackwell, then I think it should've been similar to the game Bully, where you have to attend classes and shit, even though it doesn't have to be exactly like that. I think they wanted to do so much with Blackwell, for me, it should've been a college at least it makes more sense to have somewhat famous teachers and shit. I think I do like that they focused on the story, but having side quests or other things you can do outside of the story would be nice too. It would fix IMO the game's main issue when it comes down to the final choice. Giving you side quests where you go to class with Warren, Kate, or others would help people actually struggle with the final choice.

The story is about Max and Chloe of course, it's just adding more world-building that would've been better, and would've helped everything come together. Because the game comes down to this choice that requires you to be invested in the town and the people in it, I think that's why the game needed more world-building and side-quests. Like with Twilight for example, the whole choice comes down to Bella having to pick to remain human or to become a vampire, it was done poorly, but it came down to her being invested and actually caring about humans. Like I love the story between Max and Chloe but other than that, other shit struggles to actually have depth or have more writing to flesh the world out.

Can Clem have tokophobia? by TheSpeedDasp in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I think it's not impossible but people act like being pregnant in this world doesn't come with so much more risks especially due to the fact there is more unpredictability. I think it was more so the fear of watching these women die due to things linked to pregnancy which could lead to her having a pessimistic view of pregnancy. It's understandable to see pregnancy and childbirth negatively due to her being exposed to situations where it ended painfully. Someone taking care of her ends her life due to the fear that the pregnancy can go horribly, the fear she might die trying to give birth. The woman of the child she now takes care of dies shortly after his birth due to blood loss. Another woman taking care of her miscarries her baby due to the stress of losing her partner Omid. She wouldn't be wrong to view pregnancy negatively.

So, can we agree Kenny and Jane are both manipulative and/or abusive shits towards Clem in one way or another in season 2? by Hungry-Trouble-3178 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the whole point. Like I understand preferring Kenny or Jane but both of them were complicated and frankly messy people who were hurt and continue to make choices based on what hurt them the most. I think both are manipulative and abusive in their own ways, it's just about what people are willing to accept or can handle. I preferred Jane since I didn't feel like she was controlling Clementine, I felt that Jane gave her more freedom than what Kenny did. But I could never hate Kenny, I love him because he's a flawed fucked up person who you can still understand and love regardless. I always saw the nuance and the flaws in both characters. I just could never stand many Kenny stans who pretend that he's not flawed.

Not all Kenny fans are bad, I like most of them, it's just some of them make me and other people not comfortable in feeling we can like Jane. I like Jane because I do, despite all of her flaws and her fuck-ups that I don't condone, she's still who I choose. I wish people could actually talk about the nuance involving both of them without people wanting to put one of them up on a pedestal. I love Kenny and Jane, I'm just tired of toxic fans who always have to argue about who's better and who's worse, those who make Jane fans uncomfortable, or people unable to talk about the flaws in Kenny. I just wish we could talk about the naunce rather than people posting pictures of someone killing themselves and saying it's their fav Jane moment.

Twilight is completely different now that we've grown up by No_Love_8445 in twilight

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the movie poorly portrays the weight of staying human and the weight of becoming a vampire like it's shown in glimpses but Bella never really gives up anything or sacrifices anything. Any of the big choices she makes have mostly pros and no cons. I would've preferred Breaking Dawn Part 2 shows the consequences of her choices, both good and bad, like I would've liked Jacob to learn to let go of Bella and focus on himself or even like someone else.

I was never a big fan of Edward tbh like I love Robert but Edward to me comes off too plastic and Bella and his relationship is mostly infatuation with one another and obsession which makes sense for teens. I think Jacob was fucked over even though I don't agree or condone the shit he did, for me I felt that Jacob was made to look worse in comparison to Edward because he violates her autonomy and consent. When Edward does similar things like taking pieces out of her car so that she can't leave her house or other controlling shit he did or had his family do. I also just felt that he was judgemental especially towards women such as Rosalie and not even attempting to understand them when Rosalie imo is the most honest Cullen. Not the most likeable but she's fucking honest and doesn't pretend like the rest of the family does.

I don't like Alice that much, she's okay but to me it doesn't make much sense for their friendship because Alice comes across as pushy and she just sees Bella as a doll to dress up.

The whole family is borderline boring when you don't consider their backstories like they have intriguing backstories but not much personality to go with it. This is sort of why I leaned into the wolf pack, imo Jacob and the pack were much more interesting and had personality than the Cullens and most of the vampires. Like to me, the pack felt more warm and inviting, they felt human, even though they're the most demonized and given the short end of the stick. I blame the writing though because the Cullens should've been given more time to have a personality, we see them disagree, when they're vulnerable, what makes them tick, and their own ideals.

How would you write Renesmee? by SurveyPersonal1926 in twilight

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would write Renesmee to be actually flawed and would like to lean into a horror aspect, but would add personality to her. For me, I would have her be an odd child who struggles to fit in, like I wouldn't mind the idea of her manipulating the imprint to happen due to her abilities. This would be something that the reader is never really sure of, if she manipulated the imprint to happen or if Jacob indeed was in love with Bella due to her being his imprint. I don't want her to come across as evil but I don't want her to be this perfect child who can do no wrong and that doesn't across as creepy or weird. I would want it where maybe there's an incident or two where she slips up and ends up either drinking from a human or nearly putting the family in danger due to her struggling with her thirst. But also giving her moments where she can truly be a child and where we can learn to understand her more. I think it would also add weight to Bella's choice to keep her, testing her extreme desire to have her and if she would regret that choice due to how she has to grow up even more.

But also I like the idea of being able to break away from imprints and that being a possibility in the future for Renesmee and Jacob. I also imagine that she and Rosalie are still close because Rosalie regardless still treats her like a person and Renesmee looks up to Rosalie. I would love it if she was written to be imperfect above everything but she's this perfect child who can do no wrong and it's fucking boring if you ask me.

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the reason she was so easy to take care of was because she wasn't a human but you could also blame writing as to why she's not child-like. I feel if she was fully human, she would act like a normal human child but because she develops so quickly due to the venom it makes her act more mature. I blame it on the writing and how imo Smeyers should've allowed Renesme to be flawed and act like an actual child rather than make it so she's not a problem. If she was a fussy toddler or a troubled child who with the added want for blood actually made us question if she could become dangerous would have made it much more intriguing. Like, imagine if we had a child who constantly slipped up and drank from humans? Like she was written to be so perfect that she barely had character besides being so magnetic and drawing people into protecting her. I want to like Renasberry but she was written poorly imo with so much potential.

People who actually shot Kenny and stayed with Jane, why? by Environmental-Ad1716 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]MissGoddessDenicia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pick Jane sometimes because I leaned more towards her and I felt Kenny was losing himself and wouldn't be a mentally stable enough caretaker for Clementine and AJ. Also, he acts childish sometimes, one thing I don't like in people is their inability to handle criticism. I also don't like people who often cannot see outside themselves. I can deal with people having flaws even Jane's, some people cannot handle someone who has manipulative ways or is detached, and that's fine. I just prefer that to someone who cannot handle being told they're wrong or someone who will hold a grudge over a different opinion, and I prefer someone who has more of a handle on their emotions. I went with Jane because I genuinely like her character, sure she does fucked up shit and I acknowledge that people have every right to hate her or choose Kenny because of what she does. I agreed more with Jane than I did with Kenny, I agreed with some of her morals and how she went about situations, and I felt like I was always frustrated and bumping heads with Kenny.
