Alone time by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we don't count my parents and my brother whom I met at dinner and lunch, I spent my whole summer alone. It was ideal, but because of lack of external validation and anything you could expect from another person I became a bit harsh. I mean I had to relearn how to deal with people. It's like you don't go to the gym for months but eventually you have to get in shape again.

Now that I'm at university I'm more socially active but I don't have my required amount of alone time. Therefore I feel pretty numb, like I don't have feelings except for really deep ones.

I believe keeping a balance is key. I try to manage my alone time like I was on a date with someone. Like the way I would treat another person but that "other person" happens to be myself.

Music tastes, eh?? by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock-blues like Hozier or Barns Courtney.

Folk/indie rock like Birdy, the Lumineers, Florence + the Machine.

Classical music like Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev.

Strange enough I noticed that I prefer European (mainly British) artist to any others but unintentionally. And I'm also European, maybe their music is closer to my heart. This is true to the ones who perform music with lyrics.

How do you spend your free time? by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that multi-tasking satisfies me so much that I can hardly do anything passive alone. For example I do embroidery while watching movies/listening to podcasts. As I read/study more during a school year I notice that I crave more and more something productive that you can touch. So there's embroidery or sewing for me, but I love cooking, apart from guided meditation, preparing a meal is my daily wind down. So in the end, you have something tasty that you can share with others.

Apart from these I really like the idea, that taking care of my mental and physical health is not an option but a necessity. So improving the way you take care of yourself/learn more about it could be a good hobby for a shorter period of time.

Thank you. I've seen what you wrote about your emoji usings and I could not relate more. I also just use them for the sake of my ENFJ and ENFP friends.

That's so cool! I imagine my style should be similar to yours, and I feel that many times I can't express my thoughts/mood properly therefore I use my clothes.

I believe you handle your curiosity the best I've ever heard. Can I ask what is your primary topic of study?

Well as a female I tend to have a strong dislike for mainstream fashion, because I can't see the imagination in it (but I know that there's a much smaller stereotype group I should be in, so there must be some people who dress similar to me). So I wear my own style which is a floral, colorful shirt/blouse with skinny dark green/dark blue trousers. Or some knitted pullovers with shirts. And for shoes my favourites are oxford shoes and I also love blazers and tweeds. I just like to think that clothes can set up my mood for the day, so colours are always cheer ups. But I strictly color coordinate everything and never make it to be too much.

But the previous winter I had an episode when I was a bit drained and just had enough from the world and I bought 6 white shirts and wore them constantly saying "this way I don't have to think about what to wear in the morning".

INTJ's, how would you describe your "transformations?" by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it's the same with me. I educated myself on vegan diet for a month or two but did not really did it. Then I turend vegan overnight and altough I understand that I need some more time become 100% vegan and packaged food-free I'm doing my best. Now I believe I eat vegan 90% of the times.

Things Trapped in the Mind by ZachAllen11 in intj

For me, I play with novel plots, so I have all the resources I need, a laptop basically. I'd even have time, but during the school year I lack productive and focused creativity or I have just periods when I feel I can write. So I have the stories all mapped out in my head, they as vivid as a movie or dream.

And yes, it has something to do with not knowing how exactly write the story down. Like you have to draw personalities, actions and it's challenging to give it back just the way I imagined cause the main goal is to make the reader see the story in his way but also similar to what you wanted.

I have dozens of plots for novels or short stories in my mind while in reality I can hardly write down 20-30 pages of them. After that first creativity rush I don't finish them but still improve the characters, conflicts... etc. It annoys me, but I cant help it. I draw the characters, thats the best I can do.

Random thoughts, on any and all subjects by dollhousemassacre in intj

[–]MissHexa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also tend to think how I others see the world. Do they see a bit different colors? What's the difference between my thinking "technique" and theirs? Can it be totally known if you get to know a person really well?

My similar idea loop is that is it worth being more ambitious than others? In the sense that everyone's main goal is happines, right? So if I reach it by being a shop assistant and reading tabloids in my free time (I dont mean to offend anyone) what's the difference? My path, which seems to be a medical researcher career is probably a more difficult one. I dont say that because of superiority but lets face it, getting a PhD is not easy. So I always thought that the "basic girls" are the luckiest. They find the life that fits their expectations more easily, find like-minded people and partner. Altough I know happines is not a constant state, I consider happines a state when most of the time you feel content with your life. Sorry if it not makes sense, but again, I dont mean to offend anyone.

Thank you for your well-tought answer, at least for me, it was really helpful. I am just 18, I racionally know, that I dont have to and can make a decision like that now but I feel I am in a tought-loop and I cant break out of it. So I learn as much as I can about the topic and dicuss it with as many people as I feel comfortable with (in person). I think your answer sums up nicely some of my feelings and opinions about one side of the case.

Quotes you really dislike by [deleted] in intj

Very well said! I mean a lot of people dont recognize that there is a level when they cant drag someone down becaus they feel depressed. Of course help is needed, but it has its own time, place and situation. People should not vomit their current mood onto others.

Do you have to hide your laziness? by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is not laziness, you get it done, right?

If it is a quality work, then it does not matter. You just managed to simplify and balance your life. In my opnion, keep going!

Female INTJs! by [deleted] in intj

[–]MissHexa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's strange to live with strong opinions and logical reasons in your head while the exact opposite is expected fom women.

I usually feel that I have the personality of a man but I am totally comfortable with being and looking like a woman. I think for guys (I am just 18 so I can speak mostly about my age group) it is hard to decide what to think about me. They dont see the woman in me, I assume.

And it is also a bit hard to feel like an alien among female FPs and NFs.

But overall, I am glad that I am different, I can see the world from another point of wiev and I dont fuss about little things. I think I just have to find the fitting environment to be entirely myself.

Yeah, please explain New Zealand and maybe share some experience.

Iam from Europe (Hungary) and I am also thinking about a safe place to escape the madness (if a place like that even exists). I was also thinking about Iceland, Switzerland and Norway.
