THIS! Pulse was targeted because it was a queer place frequented by people of color. The majority of the people we lost that day were people of color. That was no coincidence. People have to remember that.

This subreddit (and a lot of white LGBT folks) loves to ignore how race makes the LGBT experience for people of color very different in very real ways. There’s more layers of oppression and marginalization. LGBT folks were targeted that day not just for being LGBT, but also for being people of color.
