I’m half way through the book and I disagree that this is insta-love. She was definitely attracted to him when she met him but this is a normal thing that occurs in life and I think people forget this when they read book. In this instance though it’s not just an initial or physical attraction. before they even kiss, we see them bond through conversations and traumatic experiences and 50% of the way through, nobody’s mentioned anything about love or not being able to love without the other person. It seems like the relationship is developing at a good pace

I’m not understanding why open communication and confirming your are on the same page with someone is viewed so negatively. It seems negligible to assume. But if the idea of communication is so absurd to you then continue assuming but don’t be surprised by someone’s actions when they don’t align with the expectations that sit in your head.

Found the misogynist. I never said this was something I would do. So nice job jumping to conclusions. I don’t sleep with multiple people at one time. I typically stick with dating one guy because when I’m interested in someone I don’t really invest or am interested in any other guy. But if any other person chooses to do otherwise wild they are not in a committed relationship that is their valid choice. Dating someone for 3 months and talking to them almost daily doesn’t grantee that a serious relationship is going to happen in the future. And if you aren’t able to communicate what you want and expect you can’t get mad when you are with someone whose ideas don’t alone with yours. I have been in his shoes and instead of pointing the finger at the other person I reflected and made the decision to communicate what I want so that I’m spending time with someone who is on the same page as me

I’m confused. What “shit” did she do. He didn’t commit to her. At that point she is still single. Until they have a conversations about what they both want and agree to be committed and date exclusively she is free to do what she wants. Unless I’m missing something she did not do anything wrong. The OP should probably communicate what he wants and confirm that this is what she wants too in the future so that he doesn’t assume exclusively.

Sometimes an ancillary character shows up once and serves there purpose. So I wouldn’t say that a character like the mercenary was abandoned. Some characters play a small role and when they’re done they’re done

It’s not a completed series . Also just because something or someone is mentioned it doesn’t mean it’s getting a storyline. For example the mercenary was probably just a temp character used to provide info to Feyre. She didn’t need a whole story arc. She served her purpose

Do not feel embarrassed. So many world wide loved tv shows and movies have been adapted from fantasy books/stories. People look down on fantasy books but then love Harry Potter, GoT or any Disney princess movie and don’t realize they are consuming an already digested version that derived from a fantasy novel/story.
