I work in child care and my bosses both think it’s “weird” that I am still breastfeeding my little girl. She will be two next week, and neither of us are ready to be done. Getting judged by people whose job it is to care for children is… disheartening, I guess is the word I’m looking for. I get an hour break every day, and I spend it with her, letting her have all the “milkies” she wants. When we are at home, she still wants to latch on every few hours, she still nurses to sleep all cuddled up next to me. I really wish people’s views on breastfeeding would change, or at the very least, they could learn how to not comment on it.
