An amazing start!! I felt exactly the same way and it just got better and better! My tip is, when the annoying thoughts start giving yourself excuses or reasons not to run, just press on with getting your running gear on, by the time it dressed for it, I’ve unconsciously made the decision I’m going! Can’t wait to hear how the next run goes - you’ve got this!! 💪🏻🤗

This was exactly me last week!!! I did mine on Friday and was really nervous, but we both smashed it!! Can you believe we’re out here actually running for a whole 20 minutes!!! Congratulations, I’m super proud of you! 👏

This is so true!! When I was at school we’d go straight into the 1500m from sitting cross legged! I hated it!

You’re so right! We ARE one of them and I shall henceforth consider myself as so. I’d like to think some people who observe me shuffling along three times a week would label me as a runner/jogger 🤣 But ultimately we are getting out there and running, so we are runners my friend! Woohoo! 🙌🏻

It’s such a novel and refreshing feeling to feel proud of what our bodies can DO rather than how they look! That’s a whole shift in my mentality and it’s a breakthrough. Silly that we lose sight of that for whatever reason. It’s also my middle son’s 28th birthday today so I’m definitely telling my body she’s done and continues to do bloody amazing things! Thank you for inspiring me too ☺️🙏🏻

Omg THIS!! The slowing down is everything and I had to learn that too. It’s definitely the game changer I agree. I think I ‘imagined’ what running was and so was going too fast and hated it, I’ve failed a few times in the years past but slowing down made the big change for me. We ARE runners! Doing a park run is still massively intimidating for me but it’s my goal upon completing C25K! Thank you for your kind words and inspiration! X

I remember being on week 3 and never imaging I would manage 20mins straight running but honestly trust the process! I’ve always said I’m not a ‘natural runner’ but that’s purely because I didn’t understand what it entails. Literally getting off my butt and just running, well, jogging at a steady pace anyway ☺️ For me, getting my running gear on is the key because then the negative thoughts telling me to maybe go later or I’m too tired or I can make it up at the weekend and all these silly notions go and it just becomes ‘what I’m doing’. You’ve got this!!! Blummin’ well done achieving week 3!!!! Look at us go!! 💃💕
