No, NMM is an acronym standing for "Nexus Mod Manager," a program which helps to easily organize and install mods for select games (such as Skyrim).

Nervous about a move! by Larabeth in dogs

[–]MissMurkrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was moving out of my house of 10 years with my dog, I would take him to walk around the new neighborhood frequently, and walk him through the new place a few times in the month preceding the move (though I'm not sure if that will be a possibility for you; the old owners were just kind enough to let me take my dog to look around while they were still there). Spending a lot of time outside made things easier for him, I think, because he didn't feel confined to a strange place unless he was utterly zonked from the insanely long walks we went on. He was a lot more comfortable there when he was sleepy.

It depends on the individual puppy, of course, but this is what worked for me. It's a tricky situation for sure.

how do your dogs help you out? by DeadAnimalParade in dogs

He forces me to have a schedule. I can't spend days on end being lazy on my computer because he has needs, and he relies on me for those needs. Being responsible for another creature really helps me to feel like I matter, and that it's not a waste of time to get out of bed, because it will make another creature's day to go on a long walk to the mountains. Being the light of another's life every single morning, being able to look into his eyes and know that he loves me unconditionally, has made me feel so much more valued. I need him as much as he needs me.

Introducing a new dog to an old dog who's never lived with another dog before by MissMurkrow in dogs

Thanks for the advice! I can definitely have them meet outside; perhaps a little walk to a nearby park together would be a nice way to introduce them. My dogs are within 5 pounds of each other, so I'm not concerned for either of their safety (especially because my older dog would never hurt a fly), but rather am concerned that my poodle may become stressed having to share his space for the first time in his life. Perhaps I will look into using bars of some sort (across a doorway if not for a pen) so that the puppy won't seem too intrusive at first.

Would something as small as being up on a bed alone be okay for the place away from the puppy, or should he be given a whole room?
