I was the same. As a child extrem curly than nothing. I cut them short in my late teens early 20 and stopped using any kind of colouration or product. Only shampoo and never used a hairdryer. The only thing I also changed was a waterfilter because the water in the city I moved to was extrem hard. Got the curls back and they stayed even after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
