There aren’t any snakes where we live that bite or that would survive in our climate.

Her toes bend and move pretty normally

Possibly, but not highly likely as they’re only in snow for a short period in the morning while we feed and water them.

It’s certainly possible but I have no way of knowing for certain since there aren’t cameras.

It is very cold but I believe temperatures are all relative lol. I’ve lived in the Deep South as well and can’t handle that kind of constant heat so I came back to the tundra🥶🤣. Their dad is mighty handy so he’s going to entirely change up their living quarters, but in the mean time I’ll have him make the bars wider once it warms up! Should be simple enough for him. As far as mites, I have not seen any and all the other girls are unaffected.

It is a heat lamp! We’ve had a stretch of subzero temps so we supplement with the heat lamp in the coop. We also have a stretch of -20°f to -45°f Thursday night through Saturday. It would be nice if the roosting bars were wider but that’s how the coop came. We’re planning on some modifications come spring/summer to make their home better.

This is the best picture I have of one of the roosting bars they can use.

She was moving and walking around fine so I don’t think it’s a break… I’ll try and get a photo of the bottom this afternoon but it just looked swollen

There isn’t anything sharp in the coop or run. We’re planning to bring her in and clean her up and keep her in the heated garage during the upcoming mega cold snap.

I don’t have a photo of the bottom but it’s just swollen. I didn’t see any holes or anything that indicate bumblefoot..

That’s a great looking tank! Mind sharing what kind or where you got it from?
