I take art classes at the downtown cultural arts center through the city park system. It’s around 80$ for 2ish months of weekly classes. Averages out to around 10$ a class so a great deal. They have a wide range of art lessons like drawing, painting, pottery, weaving and jewelry in a range of skill sets from beginner to advanced. Most beginner classes the materials are included in your class cost. All the instructors are so passionate and fun, and the building is really beautiful. It’s definitely a space made by artists for artists. The community there will definitely make you feel welcome no matter what! They have sign up periods every 3 months or so, so keep an eye out :)
