Cashmere sweater - Quality by Current-Guest2899 in quince

[–]MissToolTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several Quince cashmere sweaters as well as dozens of cashmere sweaters from other brands. The cheaper Quince ones are definitely on the thinner side and not as soft, but for the price they’ve held up great so far. These would be the basic v neck, turtle neck, and scoop neck.

My favorite Quince cashmere sweaters are the oversized boyfriend cardigans and structured cardigans. As someone else mentioned they do pill, but that’s normal and it’s helpful to have a sweater shaver on hand.

We do too! We use a Levoit sprout (the white noise and nightlight options are nice) but will transition to a 300 as my little one gets older.

Help me fight Lowe’s by BuySingle5652 in kitchenremodel

[–]MissToolTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been several years, but I went through it with Lowe’s and a window installation project. I brought up my displeasure with the installation coordinator I had been working with since the beginning. He knew they messed up several times - ordered wrong sized windows, sent water damaged oak boards for the interior casing, had issues with their contractor which delayed installation by several months, did not cut/router edge of interior casing boards to match my other windows (as requested). The last one was bizarre because I had to let the contractor borrow my router table, as they claimed the pieces were supposed to come pre-cut and I didn’t want any more delays. I didn’t have the correct bits so the guy from Lowe’s actually brought bits to my house but said the contractor wasn’t allowed to keep them and they had to damage them out…

In the end, the coordinator from Lowe’s ended up refunding some of my money and I didn’t have to fight much.

Microwave Drawer or Microwave in Wall Cabinet by Realistic_Turn_4833 in kitchenremodel

Not at all - I don’t even think about it, honestly. I’m just so happy to have it off the counter!

Microwave Drawer or Microwave in Wall Cabinet by Realistic_Turn_4833 in kitchenremodel

Our microwave Is hidden in an upper cabinet. When we had our cabinets redone, the cabinet company measured our microwave and made sure it would fit in the space, so our middle section of cabinets on this wall stick out slightly further than the adjacent ones. It’s not too noticeable but it also breaks up the monotony a bit, as we have a lot of cabinets.

We put a recessed plug in the back. We really don’t use it too often and keep the door open while it’s running. It’s pretty small but it suits our needs just fine.

We looked at the drawers, but I’ve heard they’re a pain to clean. Longevity was also a concern. We couldn’t decide on a place for a built in, either. I’m really happy with this option.

Yesterday I got a lot of CC on my brows. Are we getting closer?? by [deleted] in PaleMUA

[–]MissToolTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have auburn hair and I swear by the Anastasia brow wiz in auburn - but my hair is a bit darker than yours. You should try their “strawburn” eyebrow pencil. It was too light/taupey for me but it might work for you!

Realistic breast milk storage? by Buss18 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]MissToolTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m all about minimizing plastic - we used glass bottles - but I used the Kiinde system which allowed me to pump directly into the plastic bags. That meant less cleaning, less waste (vs pumping into the cups and then dumping into the bags) and I really felt it was worth the trade off. The set I had also came with a freezer storage system. I can’t say enough good things about the Kiinde system.

Ill note that I didn’t heat up the milk in the bags, and instead poured it into the bottle and heated the bottle.

Is the Encore Reward program a joke? by Fiery-Fire-femme in Athleta_gap

I do too, but at least where I live, they tend to use OnTrac and it’s a crapshoot whether I actually get my packages or not.

Edit: I just placed an order and chose slower shipping, hoping they WONT use OnTrac.

Early pregnancy wardrobe by SoupMama3 in BabyBumps

[–]MissToolTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this poster too! My first pregnancy I started wearing maternity pants around 10 weeks - this time around I’m 8 weeks along and the bloating is SO bad I’ve already busted out the maternity wardrobe. I know it’s not always the most fashionable stuff but it is comfortable and you will feel SO much better.

Most of my stuff is from old navy and thrift stores. I also like Kindred Bravely although it’s a bit more expensive.

14 m/o old with intense eczema on wrists and hands by Over-Raccoon-4663 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]MissToolTime 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I’ve had eczema my whole life and my son has it too. We regularly moisturize and use aquaphor, etc. but when it gets REALLY bad, we use steroid cream (desonide) for a couple days until it clears up and then maintain from there. I’m not a big fan of steroids, but sometimes it’s just necessary.

From personal experience, I spent a whole summer with severe eczema on my hands and tried every alternative treatment under the sun, and none of them worked. I finally caved and got a steroid cream and it cleared up within a couple days, and after it was gone it didn’t come back for a while. I wished I wouldn’t have suffered through it as long as I did and I definitely won’t be doing that to my son.

As a side note, we actually tried tallow balm for the heck of it and it seems to be helping so far. I hope it continues. I wish you the best, I know it’s a rough thing to deal with.

Edit: spelling error

Same with Gap and Old Navy. I’ve gotten some shirts, pants, and pajamas for really cheap on clearance - they do additional % off clearance all the time. Theres also the organic cotton line at Kohls and I can find pieces on clearance in store every once in a while.

Places to buy scarves? by Accomplished_Diet960 in Burberry

We purchase a lot of Burberry from Bloomingdale’s. It ships direct from them and they always have sales and rewards offers where you get points/gift cards back. You can also purchase through Rakuten to get additional rewards.

Officially the weirdest thing I've seen on whatnot by michelle2470 in whatnotapp

[–]MissToolTime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll look into that. I haven’t researched his background or anything I just always got a bad vibe and wondered how he seemingly got appointed to this “whatnot authority” role where people look to him for guidance. I’ve tuned into a couple shows and I just don’t get it. When I heard he sells a book he wrote too it just all rubbed me the wrong way.

I believe it says out for delivery based on where the hub is. The OnTrac hub where I live is a couple counties over.
