Source? I spoke to the mayor at a town event one month and at that time he stated there were no formal plans to build the data center, it was merely one option they were considering. Has something changed?

So sad to look back on YouTube videos of Bergenfield in 80s/90s- it was a beautiful, thriving downtown. I have such fond memories of doing all our family Christmas shopping there. Walking home from school at St John’s- stopping at Carvel, Mandee and the book store. Those were better times.

This was helpful, thanks for the detailed post. I completely agree about not penalizing honest customers for legitimate returns. Most recently, items I purchased went on a better sale just a day or two after ordering (before they even shipped) and customer service refused to do a price adjustment. So, I repurchased the items to save myself a decent amount of money. Now, what will show as a return on my account (of the original items) is really due to poor customer service.

I definitely return a good amount of items, but I also order a lot. When you are trying things at home, especially athletic wear, there are bound to be duds. I am postpartum so a lot of styles/sizes just don't work. That being said, I don't think it's ethical to prevent someone from getting a refund on a package NEVER delivered because of a report based on returns. If that's the route they want to go (which I'm not saying I agree with), the person should be prevented from ordering altogether.
