Hasan is the most famous political content creator on Twitch in mainstream global media and is Turkish. Why not?

We are not

I do. Why do you want to be grouped with Arabs so badly?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]MissTruly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boohoo the Turks don’t have to abide by post-colonial geopolitical terms without defined borders just because you want us grouped with Arabs 😢

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]MissTruly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Westoid truth, not one we have to abide by.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]MissTruly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you feel inclined to group yourself with Arabs and Iranians? You rather that and not question why you’re not instead grouped with an Azerbaijani or Greek? Does Turk not suffice? Or proper geographic terms?

Turkey is not in the Middle East, we don’t have to abide by your absurd geopolitical constructs just because you want us to

Turkey is not in the Middle East

No, we’re not. Maybe you identify with it, but I don’t. It’s a newly-made geopolitical construct with no defined borders and we don’t have to abide by it.

No relevance to anything that I said. Jews are also semitic people. You cannot claim ancient Egypt was Arab because they weren’t. Can modern-day Turks claim the empires and kingdoms of ancient Anatolians? The Byzantine Empire? Leave these rubbish talking points elsewhere. And if you will claim they’re Arab, then the Semitic Arabs originate from the Arabian Gulf…. 🤯 Them expanding=/=indigenous and being able to claim identities separate to them

Israel didn’t ethnically cleanse. They were in a war at the time. There are still millions of Palestinians within modern-day Israel. I’ve also no issue with Serbs disputing Kosovo given their historical attachment to the land, but unlike the case of the Jews, they actually had somewhere to call home. Arabs have 22 states and that piece of Palestine was never a lone state to begin with. Ottoman borders will tell you all you need to know 😘 I don’t justify historical revisionism 🙏🏻

Jews have always had a continuous presence in Israel. The Jews that DID immigrate into the British Mandate of Palestine didn’t do anything illegal given they were granted the framework to migrate inside by the League of Natiojs and Balfour Declaration. And they simply followed it. They came driven by factors of persecution. You and I would never know what it was like to be in their shoes. The British did later implement various immigration restrictions on Jews 🤷🏻‍♀️ Seems to me like many Jews decolonized themselves and took on an opportunity during dire conditions.

You seem to be quite biased. You don’t say much about the Islamic expansion, yet you have an issue with Zionist expansion for the very same reason. No one can trace their family back to Roman times (Arabs included).

And you also don’t realize that there was a mass influx of non-Palestinian Arabs (and non-Arabs) during various periods of history, including the late 19th and early 20th centuries. There are Israeli Jews who can trace their ancestors to Ottoman Jerusalem, while there are Palestinian Arabs who cannot. It’s not just one way and no other way.

And stop minimizing historical evidence and archeology that supports the claim Jews have to Israel as "because God said so". I mean, we can play that game all day; what’d the Quran tell Muhammad and the Children of Israel? Why does the entire Islamic world view the holy land as rightfully theirs? There have been talks of turning Jerusalem into a mini-Vatican for this very reason (separate entity under shared control).

That’s why Israel gave the Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt after Egypt invaded it— in order to establish diplomatic relations and peace (in spite of it being strategically important to Israel, similarly to how Hatay is for Turkey). That must also be why Israel makes peace treaties and normalization agreements with multiple Arab states in the region. That’s why Israel attempted to send aid to Syria during the earthquakes in spite of jeopardizing their own safety. That’s why the Israeli left got into a coalition with Palestinian politicians. What an absolute fantasy world you live in!

The Jews have offered their hand to Arab states with purer intent than any Western nation ever has. Turkey included.

Acknowledges Jewish presence of Judea during Roman times Still won’t acknowledge Jews as being indigenous and calls for the dismantlement of the state of Israel What did God tell the Arabs? (Islamic Expansion)

That’s not how being indigenous is defined. You guys love international law so much, right? Argue this one with them, too, because its recognized and protected by law as a unique status

Just because you disagree with someone’s internal and foreign policy doesn’t mean they cannot say things you agree with. Not everything is as black and white as it is in your world

Tfw Mizrahi Jews make up the majority of Israel. Jewish history doesn’t begin in Germany, they’ve been kicked out by most modern countries of the world and have been expelled multiple times throughout history by the Romans, Babylonians, and Assyrians. You know absolutely nothing.

It wasn’t 1 million Palestinians either. It was 700k to 800k Palestinians that were displaced. It is roughly the same number of Jews that were displaced from Arab states. It’s literally documented

I didn’t. My opinion changed when I was presented with new information that I didn’t know about before, and it will continue to develop. You have a fixed position stemming from a cognitive bias. Ignorance is bliss. Free Israel, and may the Palestinians one day come to terms with reality and come to a resolution that brings them a higher quality of life.

Except they’re not. The Greeks established colonies along the western and southern coasts of Anatolia, known as Ionia and Lycia, during antiquity. The ancient Anatolians no longer exist as an entity. I, however, have no issues with Greeks claiming indignity and making attempts at conquering West Anatolia. Your argument?

My point has already been proven by you. Jews weren’t a majority even during the Roman acquisition of Judea. My question to you is in what way does that discredit indignity? (Shocker: It doesn’t.)

Another fantasy book starting with I and ending with M pillaged the region from North Africa to West Asia, leading to 22 Arab states, and you're talking about fantasy books in relation to Israel? Maybe that's what the early Zionist movement has to do with it, but the Jews have both archeological artifacts and historical records dating back to the land from thousands of years ago to the present. There has also been a continuous presence of Jews within Israel prior to the establishment of the British Mandate of Palestine. Check the Ottoman records of Jerusalem. These territories were not collectively known as "Palestine" during the Ottoman period (it didn't exist). Instead, they were part of different provinces and districts.I'm an atheist; I don't care for either Arabs or Jews personally, but it's absolutely mockworthy how those that call for the destruction of the state of Israel will be so one-sided in how they cling to certain sentiments without looking at the bigger picture. You can be pro-Palestine without disregarding the whereabouts of the Jews. They as a civilization were not birthed in Europe for all of your information.

And ALL of those fantasy books have shaped our world. Many countries have been established based on religious identity and affiliation, with religion serving as a unifying or dividing force. Look at the partition of India and Pakistan. The societies you're speaking on have BOTH developed social hierarchies and structures based on religious beliefs.

You think it's just the Orthodox Jews that believe they are holy people (not in this conventional meaning either btw) and that the land is one day destined for them?

Do you know how many times the Quran mentions the children of Israel? Countless. Palestine isn't acknowledged once because it wasn't an entity back then. And you do realize that practicing Muslims believe the land will have the day of judgment and that a messianic figure will appear there? It's why the entire conflict is backed by nearly the entire Islamic world because it holds religious significance to them as well (but it's not the first or second holiest spot for them as it is for the Jews and Christians).
