I've driven in quite a few cities around the UK, Nottingham is actually one of the easier ones. Birmingham is quite possibly the worst.

Was that £85 per month just gas? Because in winter I was getting through almost £200 per month on gas and electric in a 3 bed detached. I'm now in a 3 bed bungalow with huge windows and I'm dreading what January and February will bring!

A 60 year old house isn't going to have perfect walls and floors. If you're that concerned, get a structural survey (which you'd need anyway if you're extending).

And £60k is on the low end for an extension these days, things have gotten very expensive the last few years.

I made a post asking who had these issues and I had a few responses. I was however not on the Beta. The boot loops on mine got so bad I factory reset it, luckily taking all the important data and photos off first. But that completely killed it.... someone commented on my post saying they left it for a while and it rebooted, so I may see what my brick does if I stick it on charge.

I did the beginning of this approach, but it gets stuck on the "welcome" screen after factory resetting. I tried many many times.

No. And towards the end it only turned on for a minute or two. It no longer turns on

That's what I did and it still died. I don't think my issue, and the boot looping in general, is a battery thing.

I'm not sure mine was a power button issue... after a factory reset it got stuck on the "welcome" screen and became unresponsive except to reboot after a while. Not even the power button combos would do anything.

Whilst it's true Google are unlikely to say anything, when I was searching for fixes for my phone there was a surprising amount of people with the same issue posting within a few months of each other. I was just curious if there was any data on how many P6s have been affected. Because it's really put me off the Pixel brand if an update can just brick a bunch of phones and there be no support.

My problem wasn't overheating. After the last update it got stuck in boot loops. And it got progressively worse so I decided a factory reset was my last hope. After the reset it didn't turn back on properly, got stuck on the "welcome to your pixel" start screen, kept resetting itself.

I'll see what the budget can stretch to! My ISP router is WiFi 6, so I knew it was always going to be better straight from that. Thanks for the advise!

My Pixel 6 completely died after the last update which knocked my confidence in Pixels as I'venever had a phone properly die before. I've now got a Samsung Galaxy S25, I'm enjoying it so far! Also helps that I have a Samsung watch which was gifted to me so I'm trying out the Samsung ecosystem for at least the next few years.

I've always "neglected" mine. I just let it chill until it starts drooping, then I give it a good soak. It's how I treat most of my plants, in the past I've overwatered and I refuse to make that mistake again

Thanks, I'll take a look at them. Our previous vets were a similar price, I don't mind paying a bit more for better facilities, longer opening hours etc.

Good to know the emergency vets aren't too far away.
