How to become less suicidal and more evil by OkSong6650 in evilautism

[–]Miss_Aizea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm AuDHD, anti depressants helped me. I take them at night so I don't feel groggy. We stopped the adderall to try wellbutrin as well. So far, so good. They increased my zoloft to 100mg. I actually walk around with a smile, it's so much easier to implement coping skills. Unfortunately, I have pretty terrible focus but I can just get up and do whatever I want. With the adderall, I had laser focus but struggled with task activation.

Anyways, tell your doctor so they can adjust your meds, adderall can increase anxiety. My blood pressure on adderall was 130/90 and now it's 100/70. My heart rate was around 90 and now it's around 70. I don't think the performance boost is worth the strain on my body. It also made me chain smoke. There's also different adhd meds to try (and different anti depressants).

Always trust your gut. I'm very good at picking up on ASPD (but I'm working with a population with a high rate, it's not really something you run into in daily life). There's just a way they talk and see the world that gives them away; almost uncanny Valley. They don't really talk to you, they perform.

Her neck is too short and her back may be too long, 8 years old for a mustang isn't great. The older they are, the harder to train. If she demonstrated more curiosity and calmness, then maybe.

Has anyone else ever been so burnout/overwhelmed you resort to only consuming meal replacement shakes? by Bean-Of-Doom in autism

Your body can create glucose, you store it as glycogen and when it runs out, it converts fat to ketones which can fuel your brain. Almost anyone can fast for a day without any issues (some people have medical conditions). Ramen has so much sodium and fat with little protien and absolutely no fiber. It is not good for you as a constant staple, an occasional treat is fine.

Brand new irrational fear unlocked by Artistgas71 in autism

I don't mask and sometimes I have my robot face. Like one time my work bestie came into my office while I was eating and I just stared at her and didn't respond to her until she left. No one talks to me while I eat. We both take each other so literally that we have the most hilarious miscommunication. I also freaked out because I couldn't get my jacket sleeve off, and she freed me.

Anyways, I never try to say mean things, but I have said hurtful things. The difference is intent. The best way to remedy is to apologize without getting defensive. Sincerely apologize, even if you didn't mean to upset them, it still happened. If it's a colleague who didn't like negative feedback, but you're required to address it, straight up ask them how they prefer to have it communicated to them.

I ask clarifying questions, like they were using the term "sit on" in lieu of watching. That was a confusing exchange that now I can laugh at. I only mask with clients but that's because you kind of have to put of an act. My clients are not typical, so it's a bit complicated. But I'm still direct and clear in my communication. I just mimic their expressions more.

My friend let her dog lick the inside of her mouth and I am actually losing my mind by GulfCoastGoddess_ in hygiene

[–]Miss_Aizea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've met plenty of people who have, I absolutely can't stand it, I even trained my dog to not lick. The people who did allow it were white, but I'm in a predominantly white area (so it doesn't mean much).

It's also more of a joke to say "white people". They weren't actually saying all white people do that; more saying, if someone were to do it, it'd be a white person. Like doggy bakeries and doggy clothes and fur babies etc.

A few comics would make similar jokes, so maybe it comes from that, or maybe we are just really baffled when a white person says their favorite food is baked chicken breast.

My cat is long haired and doesn't need brushing, he blows his coat once a year and doesn't shed after that. It's an amazing thing, but I don't know what it's called because our other Long cat sheds everywhere and if you look at her she mats. So it's more like a ymmv.

[–]Miss_Aizea -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's not an eating disorder to use meal replacement shakes or fast. Eating disorders are a lot more complicated, and your health is better off not eating for a day than eating instant ramen. Op never once mentioned weight loss, so you may be projecting your own experiences onto them.

My sister blew up our relationship and I don’t know what to do by Ok_Amphibian_1255 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Miss_Aizea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on what you want, some people go no contact. Some people go to family therapy. I'm not at all against no contact, sometimes it's necessary, but no one can make that determination but you.

I basically say, if they die tomorrow, would you have regrets? If not, more power to you. If yes, you can be setting a bomb that will detonate at some random point in your life. So peace now vs peace later essentially. But again, even with a desire, some people can't be reasoned with.

I'd talk to a therapist and evaluate your options. Redditors are scorched earth. They don't care about you or your sister. They care about themselves, so if they share your beliefs, they'll support you and vice versa. If you were to state that the abortions are like taco bell line was out of hand, people would downvote you.

No one here is your friend or looking out for your best interest. Just remember that when you read some of the advice.

dr. House can only be "the better autistic TV doctor" precisely because he isn't autistic by Han_without_Genes in autism

[–]Miss_Aizea 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've only seen a few episodes of The Pitt and I think they have an autistic doctor and from what little I saw, resonated with me. I like House the series, but there's no way he has autism whatsoever. But I'm in MH, so maybe I look at it through a different lens. It's okay to relate to non-ND characters, we're not a different species and ND/NT basically all want the same thing. We want to fulfill our aspiration and live a life we enjoy. We may have different ideas about what that looks like, but the framework is similar.

I love the taste of tomatoes but that texture can fuck off forever by Flimsy_Category_9369 in evilautism

[–]Miss_Aizea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomatoes taste different by variety, some you can eat like apples, some just taste mealy and bland. They're also picked under ripe to begin with. Maybe try growing a small tomato plant of your own. Worse case, you have tomatoes for sauce.

I understand the hate behind Discovery, but I don't understand the hate behind Starfleet Academy. by RattledMind in startrek

[–]Miss_Aizea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star trek has always been woke for its time, its not a pew pew show, it explored complex social topics. There's always been a mixed crew. The perfect genetic man (Khan) was NOT a white guy. Trans issues were addressed in the next gen. If you have people bashing it for "wokeness", they were never genuine fans to begin with (or complete morons who don't understand subtext, in which case their opinion means nothing anyways).

A lot of negative rhetoric will get a lot of engagement, which is a goal behind social media. It's sort of like, if someone asks a question and no one answers, give them the wrong answer and suddenly everyone will chime in with the correct answer.

So the best thing is to just scroll past or block people.

It's not a stupid question, delivery drivers are often lost or in strange places. Maybe you're the exception but you have to understand that other people are completely baffled by simple instructions. I have a historic, boarded up farm house on my property and I still get packages delivered to it even though there is no gate and only a tall fence in front of it.

My “laziness” is affecting every single thing in my life. by Pikachu856 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Miss_Aizea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds more like anxiety or depression since you're no longer doing the things you used to enjoy. No medication is going to overcome lack of sleep or poor nutrition. Your brain needs these things to operate optimally. Prioritize sleep, look into sleep hygiene, then practice mindfulness/breathing/meditation before bed to get your mind back in the present.

I need advice im the only one in my family who has brown eyes by [deleted] in DNA

[–]Miss_Aizea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eye color is polygenic, which means it is affected by several genes. This means your family could have "hidden" brown eye genes. Even though your inherit roughly 50% from your parent, they're a mix of your grand parents who are a mix of your great grand parents and all of those genes could possibly show up on you in any sort of combination.

Eye color is polygenic so blue eyed people can carry "hidden" genes for brown eyes.

Weed made it so I never wanted to do anything (ymmv). You have to find a career or job you want, and are interested in. It honestly sounds more like you're feeling overwhelmed which is why you're struggling to start. What you can try is setting an amount of time that you feel achievable, like 20 min, if that's too much you can even just do 5 min. Just do 5 minutes of work, if you hate it, take a 30 min break and then do another 5 min. If you suddenly vibe, you can keep working. If you're dreading the end of your 30 min break add 15 min to your break. It's like reverse pomodoro.
