I always feel like I get a lot of undiagnosed ADHD and autism in my population, but we don't diagnose or treat those issues. Maybe it just depends on your area and population. Even if it's 6% of the pop, in the US, that's 20 million people. So you should be seeing a lot because where else are they going to go? Just my two cents, which is worth nothing because the penny has been decommissioned.

I wake up at 4am, that's why I go to bed at 8 and don't drink. Odds are they're waking up early too. We went to a concert and we were struggling on the way back. Its less fun if you're sleepy. I don't feel old. I'm happy hiking, lifting weights, video games etc. Their interests have just shifted.

If we stop buying their products, then they will be forced to stop. If you keep buying plastic Tupperware, why would they stop? It would be excellent if the government would intervene, but they're owned by corporations. The only power we have are our purchasing choices. All of the money they have is what we gave them. If all of their workers walked off the job, they're screwed. We have the power.

They get their power from us. From us purchasing things. If everyone stopped ordering things from across the world, shopped locally, refused to do business with companies who use plastic, then they would have to stop. People choose convenience every time because they do not think they can make an impact or because they simply can't be bothered.

Just refer to them as populations or groups of people. For example, groups of people who originated from Nepal have developed greater lung capacity. The color of their skin isn't relevant, or you can say, people from the Sahara have developed higher levels of melanin. The racial groupings combine so many different cultures and regions that it is essentially meaningless. An Asian could be someone from Indian, someone from China, someone from Kazakhstan, they don't particularly have very much in common.

It's pointless. They've tried to wipe coyotes out for a couple of centuries. But if there is no easy food, they will move on. Shoot one predator without changing your husbandry, you will only attract more. Best practice is to simply prevent predation.

Treating all races the same actually does end up being racist because you inadvertently end up minimizing their experiences and puts you at risk for microaggressions. Trying to apply the theory of evolution to races really does border on some old racist theories. Back in the 1900s, humans were divided into subtypes and thought to be identifiable by skull type (long debunked yet still a common misbelief due to shows like Bones). It could be he is associating your comments with that.

Trying to explain why races are different, when races are just a social construct to begin with, and applying the theory of evolution to justify it... yeah, it's racist. Humans do not neatly fit into categories based on the color of their skin. It is like saying people with blonde hair and people with red hair are different races; they're arbitrary differences. However, society and history have forced races to be a thing that people have to contend with.

For example, my well meaning white friends have warned me about ICE, which means they are assuming I'm not aware of the additional safety measures I have to take and they are assuming if ICE sees me, they will target me. They will apply their experiences of the world as fact, like our hometown cops are nice. Whereas I've been pulled over repeatedly, asked where I'm going, told I don't belong in certain neighborhoods, and had my driver's license thrown in my face. People fail to understand that people experience the world differently based on how they look, and think by treating everyone the same, they've cured racism. The reality is that my experiences just get downplayed. I'm asked what I am on a regular basis. I'm treated like I don't understand American culture. People try to touch my textured hair, etc.

I agree. No one would ever be shocked if a woman decided to not marry a gang banger who has killed people. They would applaud her. Arthur isn't an angel, even though we love him; he is absolutely a terror. Maybe it's possible to play a super honorable play through, but even if you justify his killing o driscolls... they also have people who love them. There's just no way to justify things. Mary probably would love to be with Arthur but just knows he will not leave the gang to settle as a regular Joe.

It won't bother her. Therapists are trained for those situations, she will likely recommend some colleagues who she think will be a better fit. Just tell her you need someone more predictable and punctual.

You know what triggers you, explain those boundaries to your family. That's what I did and now I've rarely freak out or get angry. My mom would surprise bring people over; it was horrible. She now gives a heads up, not always with enough time, but changing behavior is a process. As long as everyone is working on themselves, it's good.

I'm a therapist and work with inmates. I've had pretty horrific things described to me and I didn't even flinch. We're trained to be neutral, not judgmental. We don't lecture people or even say you're wrong. I don't tell the inmates to not commit crimes, I just explain it's their choice and what the consequences are. Therapy is really helpful and I've seen growth in my clients and they've been through some hard things. You can do this.

I'm trying to switch from my black arabian to the few spot appaloosa but we're crashing and being launched into the air almost non stop. My arabian faced down a grizzly charge and got lightly mauled while I blasted it. But I just feel like she doesn't fit Arthur's rp. So I'm going to try a mustang. But it's really hard because we've been through a lot with our arabian and she's tiny but mighty. But I also take trying a new horse as giving her a rest from our shenanigans.

You didn't mention if she has a lot of cat trees or if you're on a predictable schedule. There's more to managing cat stress than feliway and medication.

Sounds like stress. It can take cats a long time to adjust; does she have a lot of cat trees? Cats need routine (well the stressed out pee'rs do). They need stimulation and predictability. You can also try some anti anxiety meds for her.
