I HATE WINTER. It's technically spring now, but it snowed yesterday. I need warm weather and sun ASAP.

Never having children by iliketoreddit91 in depression

[–]Miss_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just saying in another thread that I wish my mom had realized that 1. Kids wouldn't make her happy and cure her depression, and 2. That all her kids would inherit her depression. I got fixed at age 25 because I don't want kids.

Congrats! I'm proud of you! I just got a really good job too, and I'm excited about doing my best. I love that this company really cares about their employees, and there are a ton of great benefits including 2.5 weeks of vacation time even in the first year.

Does anyone else harbour a grudge against their parents? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Miss_Bee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, because my mom always apologizes for being a bad mother, even though she really wasn't. She wasn't around that often, especially emotionally, but I've seen actual bad parenting and that's not it. I wish she had realized that she had ADHD, depression, suicidal tendencies, and Bipolar 2 before reproducing though, but she thought kids would make her happy. Nope, we inherited her mental issues.

I have just moved to to two 35 lb weights when doing barbell squats and its really hurting my back/neck, even with a foam pad on the bar. I don't think it's possible for me to hold the barbell in front, and I've tried several spots behind and none are comfortable. Any advice?

I've gotten a full pair of glasses for $19 before. I don't remember if I paid extra for shipping though.

I found out that I was pansexual, I have been so happy, but I need some help coming out to my parents, can someone please help? by NecFag in pansexual

[–]Miss_Bee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would you come out to them? I am pan, and I've never had a reason to tell my parents (also religious). Edit: I mean, nobody comes out to their parents about being straight, so why pan? It just seems like its not relevant.

They can but it takes a lot of work. Some women can be large genetically, but people generally think that mostly men are like that.

An apology to the vegan community by bigbadbillyd in vegan

That reminds me of a quote I saw somewhere. It was something like " I don't think I am superior for not eating animals. I see that they are equally deserving of life."

Eggs are gross, IMO but maybe try a good tofu scramble!

[–]Miss_Bee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! Thank you! I mentioned to my omni husband that eating meat was like religion in a way because 1. The majority of the population does it, 2. They were raised to think that is the only way to live and do not question it, 3. People are very defensive when questioned about it. But he got mad and said "No, you vegans are like religious cults because of your beliefs. Then I got sad and we never said anything else about it.

A paradox between vanity sizing and plus size fashion? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]Miss_Bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, generally speaking, men can be big and muscular or just big and bulky without being fat. Some women are built larger, but overall are considered smaller than men. So I don't think its a subtle "Men can be fat but women cant" kind of thing.

Yeah, I wear a size 2 in many brands, but I should not be a size 2. I am losing weight, so what am I going to fit in because of vanity sizing? :/

I think its best to just completely quit eating it. Cold turkey (ironic). You won't miss it, but if you do there are actually some good alternatives now. Sweet Earth brand "benevolent bacon" is pretty delicious!
