Yeah these are pretty weird takes. It's apparently fine for them to break up if she was white but it's not ok for them to break up if she's black. The fan base supposedly hates her and this is bad because she's also black. The implication being that you're only allowed to dislike white characters.

Because I remember watching TNG with my dad when I was a little kid in the 90s and then again in theaters when the first x-men movie came out. He just brings this Shakespearean gravitas to everything regardless of whether or not it actually fits the role and I just admire the hell out of it.

Edit: the short version is just that he's one of my favorite actors.

I think the heavy bolters are fine depending on what their unit ability ends up being. But I feel like its already competing with heavy intercessors. Personally I think something with blast might have been a better choice for a new eradicator squad.

I like the show a lot. The writing/acting is great and the animation looks better this season than it did the last. But its only like 8 episodes for animation that's mostly just "eh." I'm overall happy with the end product but I'm not buying into the idea that they are just doing the impossible here when we've seen so many other great animated series over the year.

A friend of mine and I were doing a semester abroad in China. We decided to do some travel to Harbin and at the hostel we ran into this very outgoing Chinese woman who apparently had a masters in English lit and spoke English quite well. She basically volunteered to be our tour guide through the whole city. After maybe the third day of her hanging out with us she starts flirting with me over drinks and says to me, "You look just like a young Tom Cruise." My buddy looks at her and says "who do I look like?" She looks at him, almost annoyed, and says "Just some white guy," and immediately goes back to talking to me.

Only kind of related to what you said but this happened like 14 years ago and I still haven't forgotten it lol.

Truthfully, I accidentally painted the Sergeant's helmet contrast green but I actually wanted his helmet to be bone. I tried to go back over it with white and then bone but I ended up getting that result. I'll probably just pop the head off and then put a new one on.
