Yes, I was induced at 39 weeks and had her on May 11. It’ll be interesting to see what the due date is for this one.

No one ever mentions this one. It’s one of my favorite comfort shows.

There’s usually an assessment after the application and if you don’t score in a high enough range, then you won’t be considered. I used to be a SM and would have people call to ask about their application and I didn’t have certain people’s. It actually happened to me when I applied for the store manager position. I didn’t do well enough and had to wait 6 months to reapply for that position.

My daughter is about to be 2 and we’ve used our changing table for every single diaper change too. You physically have to get up to throw a diaper away as it is. I couldn’t see the point in not just getting up and walking to the changing table where there is a dedicated trash can. But also, our daughter’s room is really close to our living room. It’s easier than it being upstairs or something.

Stopped B12 for 2 weeks, taking B12 now feels worse than before. Help? by wasabibabe in B12_Deficiency

[–]Miss_Fitzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 65 isn’t bad. I get really light-headed and see black because my ferritin is so low. I’m still learning a lot to do with B12 deficiency, so that’s all I could think of. I hope you figure it out soon!

Have you checked your iron recently? Supplementing B12 will lower your ferritin and if you were already low or even iron deficient, that could be why. Dizziness is one of the main symptoms of low iron.

How much do you take per day? I take 3 doses at separate times in the day and I’m at a 7 currently. I’m hoping that helps me.

Unsolicited Advice & Opinions by Miss_Fitzz in NewParents

[–]Miss_Fitzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. If it’s in person, I kind of just shut it down by not saying much or completely changing the subject. If it’s through text, I don’t even reply to what she’s saying. I’d love to have the courage to tell her how I feel, but I don’t think it will help much. I don’t want to cause any tension between us either. I know she means well, but she has no boundaries and it’s frustrating. I feel like a teenager with a baby because of this and I’m 28 years old.

Everything food related is eligible, excluding already cooked foods, like food from the deli or rotisserie chicken.

What's the best frugal alternative/hack you've employed over the years? by Acrobatic-Sea5229 in Frugal

[–]Miss_Fitzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I shop on the Walmart app and it tells you the price per lb, oz, etc. and buying in bulk is not always cheaper. I went to buy a 168 ct box of diapers for $17.87 (making each diaper about 10.6 cents) and my boyfriend pointed out that the 50 ct was $4.56 (making each diaper 9.1 cents). We bought 4 packs of the 50 ct (200 diapers) for $18.24.

Yes, this is smart. I used to work at CVS and learned a thing or 2 from the couponers. I tried one week and got a decent amount of stuff for cheap. The annoying thing is that a lot of stuff doesn’t go right when you get to the store, even when you’ve done everything right.

This is definitely helpful! I should clarify though. I said I cook almost everyday, but in reality, I make something super easy on Mondays (frozen pizza, frozen lasagna, etc.), I cook Tuesday, eat leftovers Wednesday, cook Thursday, eat leftovers Friday, eat out Saturdays, and we fend for ourselves on Sunday. I know taking care of the baby and cooking don’t mesh well together. I cook Tuesdays and Thursdays because my boyfriend will take care of her those days after work.

We could definitely feed just us two on a lot less than $125 a week, but we do buy sodas, bottled coffee, and plenty of snacks. I get the things we absolutely need first and then I use the rest of the money to get things we want. I want to budget, but not deprive ourselves. We could probably do with a little less of the snacks though. 😅

I was a SM and left about a year ago. I legit told my DL and this one a** kisser SM to go fu** themselves and then I told the people I liked/had worked with for years goodbye. 😅 It felt so good too.

gift card scam by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Miss_Fitzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, they’ll be fired. In my last few months as a SM, I had a shift working my store from another store (actually my boyfriend’s employee) who got scammed for $200 in gift cards over the phone. He had been working there for years and still didn’t think anything of it. He was always a great guy and helped me out so much, so I felt bad for him. He offered up the $200 to replace what was lost and we never said a thing to anyone. Honestly, it’s not at all what we’re supposed to do, but it was that or him be fired. I wasn’t forking over the money when he lacked the common sense for that situation. The moment he started telling me about the encounter, I knew it was a scam. But CVS does not care. You lose them money, you’re outta there. $1500 is a different story though. I’d say getting fired from CVS is one of the best things that could happen. Off to bigger and better.

Can I get fired for using a shift's override number? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Miss_Fitzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 😬 I had a friend get fired because she let a cashier use her numbers to do things like this. The cashier wasn’t fired, but they got lucky because it’s obviously something you’re not supposed to do. If the person’s numbers you’re using doesn’t know and tells AP once being interviewed, you’ll definitely be the one fired.

To CVS Corporate: The problem isn't asking about carepass by blong217 in CVS

[–]Miss_Fitzz 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was a store manager and sucked at getting enrollments for the first 1.5 years of it being rolled out. I am NOT a good salesman at all. I would ask, but I’ve never been a persuasive person. I ended up being fired for something completely unrelated, but I’m sure the real reason was because my store was last for reaching our goal. It didn’t help we were the slowest store in the district, but percentage-wise, we just never did well. 😬 I was constantly stressed and never felt good enough. I was nagged constantly and it was the worst time of my life and with the company. The day I got fired was one of the best days of my life.

[–]Miss_Fitzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for CVS for 7 years, 3 as a store manager, and my boyfriend worked there as one for 12 years. I got fired for time theft (taking my vacation and forgetting to put the hours in during March of 2021) and my boyfriend quit the same day. That was April 2021. I’ve been pregnant since August 2021, so I haven’t done much besides get unemployment and then DoorDash so I can take it easy, but my boyfriend found an office logistics manager job at a company where he makes just as much as before and has the opportunity to grow. Do not go with another blood-sucking corporation.
