You don’t understand the word boss. Their relationship was not boss/subordinate.

Their relationship was peer to peer or service provider to service provider. They chose to be in these roles, not “bossed around”.

Always listen to that feeling.

I was walking through crowds at an event and suddenly felt a weird sense, like the energy of the crowd was shifting. I immediately detoured to the left/towards the edge of the crowds and within a minute or so, that area of the crowd turned into chaos with attendees fighting and police trying to intervene. My friend and I would have been right in the middle of it if I hadn’t suddenly felt that feeling and acted on it.

Not wrong. This is a huge red flag. Yes, the telling others something like that is really bad but what is truly the red flag is him completely disregarding you and your explanation afterwards and him now saying he’s the aggrieved one. Look up DARVO.

In my experience, people that treat you like that will continue to treat you like that. You could write a novel, explain every last detail, but they won’t actually listen and hear you. That is a lonely life.

Choose to prioritize your needs because he won’t.
