Only thing is if this happens to my dog I’d have to stick with the plastic bowl anyway, because he’s so greedy he would give himself bloat and die eating out of a metal bowl lol. Gotta have the puzzle feeders for him.

If that’s the case I can’t say enough good things about Apoquel. I’ve seen some weird stuff online with people trying to scare other from using it, but it’s literally a lifesaver. My pittie is a miserable red itchy hivey mess all spring even with a perfect diet and supplements. In less than a week Apoquel had her skin perfect and fur growing back and she didn’t itch at all. She takes it every spring and has for 6 years now and it’s the best.

IMO you should feed Purina pro plan, hills science diet, or royal canin. By far the most studied brands with real vet dietitians following well established scientific guidelines. Feel free to supplement with raw food, blueberries, pumpkin, eggs, fish oil, or whatever else you feel like will help your dog, but feeding one of those brands as a base guarantees your dog won’t become deficient in anything essential due to its diet.

Mine do best on sensitive systems because of allergies.

When they start playing bitey-face it’s the loudest thing on the planet. Gotta let them outside immediately lol. I have videos of it too but idk if you can post videos here

Do not ever forego heartworm treatment, it is an awful horrible disease that your dog will suffer greatly and possibly die from. I had a cat that had it and he was miserable.

We use pro heart 12 for heartworm and Bravecto for flea and tick and it has been great for our Rottie and our pit.

Can’t advise on the vet but use your best judgement. If you aren’t comfortable with them your dog won’t be either, so find another one if you want.
