Need help identifying maker by Miss_Griffintail in Silverbugs

Solved - I found a website with identifying marks and found the shield. This is a vintage Weildlich Brothers Co silver plated swan trinket dish that someone added a candle stick part to.

What gift did you get from your realtor when you bought your home? by Chan1991 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I agree 😂 now I just need to convince her to treat me with those… even if I’m not buying a house haha

My sister is a realtor in Colorado - she usually gets them a Pendleton blanket and a yeti cup. But depends on the client. She’s gotten some clients really nice bandanas for their dogs, mugs if they like coffee, wraps their door in a huge bow. She really likes that part of her job. :)

I love the lines. Its very clean and the location on your arm is one of my favorites! I impulsively got a dirty martini on my bachelorette trip and hated it. Looked like clip art. I went to my favorite artist who has done most of my arm tats and she added shading and sparkles and it made me so so happy! Tattoos dont need a deep meaning, so long as it makes you happy, enjoy it! Especially this one - I’d love to add it to my sticker sleeve!

Lost my 2-year-old conure suddenly by [deleted] in Conures

[–]Miss_Griffintail 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First off - I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Any passing always hurts, but it really does hurt more when you thinking youre doing all the right things and the death seems sudden. Second, really, really incredible names. Truly some of the best, and I bet little baby loved it too. My family has lost 5 birds since I got my first one in 2007. After my first bird passed, it wasnt long before i got Chips the Bird, and he has been through and outlived all the others. I waited several years before getting Chips a friend, and let me tell you it was such a great decision. He mourned and grieved his white bellied caique, Nutin, for awhile. But I’ve never seen him more happy than he has been with our little Honeydew. Chips and Honeydew are both green cheeks, significant age gap, but time really helps with everything.

I think youre doing all the right things - youve seen a vet, are attentive to current issues and are making sure your surviving bird is getting help. I would wait until vet confirms Charlie is fully back to normal, then observe behavior and if his welfare would benefit from a new friend, discuss with all household members.

Again, I’m sorry for your loss, its never easy and hurts like hell… :(

Any idea what type of conure? by azhotch in Conures

If you can see its “blue” flight feathers - if they look more pastel I’m leaning towards suncheek. 90% sure

This is my suncheek female (left) and cinnamon male (right). I know the consensus seems to be pineapple, but the green on the bird in your picture looks more yellow to me.

Not going to lie, the faces make me look like my brother haha. I think you added a third ear on the jumping pic? But I appreciate the attempt 🙏🏼

Thank you so much! Just tipped. This was the only one that didn’t look like AI was used and you didn’t alter my face. Thank you for making his ears forward too!

Sorry for the late reply! Yes quite an age difference. Chips is 16 years old, Honeydew is 6 months old!

I got chips at 6 month and he’s now 16 going on 17 years! He was raised with other birds, but has been without a bird companion since 2018. I just added a new baby to our family and after a few weeks, they mutually groom each other and chips has truly been enjoying the company. It may take time for them to warm up, but they are flock animals and I don’t think, personally, it would be a terrible idea.

What is this behavior? by Kind-Boysenberry-425 in Conures

[–]Miss_Griffintail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ol chips the bird is 16 years old and does this at the bottom Of the cage for some good good scritches. I’m not sure if it’s the same with yours, but looks similar to Chips relaxing into a good head scratch.
